I just saw the fountain i thought it was one of the best science fiction movies i have seen in a while. Not to mention one of the most innovative looks at the tree of life and the fountain of youth. I was wondering if anyone has an insight into why Hugh Jackman could not put the ring on when he reached the tree of life as the conquistador. Also i just wanted to see what people rated this movie in general.

It's just a metaphor for Hugh Jackman accepting his wife's death.
