Yeah this is in the wrong place, but in the comic surfer decides that people won't die in the universe, he makes death into a symbol of life and love (or something like that). Thanos Warlock and Strange tell him no one should have that much power and he ignores them. In the end he gives up the power and destroys the Gauntlet, banishing himself and his lover to a far off world so they can be together. There are scans of it in the SS respect thread.
