So Lana gave me the for this, since they aren't signatures in the traditional sense, and I'm becoming steadily lazier.....meaning: you'll be seeing a lot more Dino Comics than regular sigs.

So they get their own thread.



Anyway, some pertain to various sections of the forum (signature, comics, etc.) and some are just general humor. The "Dino" template is borrowed from a website (google "dino comics" and you'll find it) but all of the words and concepts are my own.

Currently -8 degrees with a windchill of -30 where I am. Goddamn. My brother and sister wanted a ride to school and I couldn't get my car to start, it's that cold.

...I put a link to the real Dino comics website (qwantz.com) under my sig. I was starting to feel bad about ripping so shamelessly....though the creator actually encourages others to make their own (there's an entire section of the site dedicated to fan-made stuff) so that's why I felt ok about it in the first place.

This current one is amazingly Qwantz-esque. Profound philosophical point undermined by T-rex's childish hilarity. One of my favorites to date.

The dorkiest thing about this stuff is that the punchline is usually just an afterthought for me...I'll think up something like "spatial cookies" or "Omnisexuality" and be so excited because it's intellectually stimulating yet at the same time completely worthless. It's basically my life in a nutshell: Intellectually complex, yet essentially pointless.

I saw it, but I don't save my dino comics as .psd files, so editing it is a b*tch, and not really worth my time.

Also, glad you like it Lana...I figured it would mostly appeal to comic fans who understand the sad truth of the final panel. But I'm slowly working in the whole cadre of characters that they use in the real comic. There's also a bug called Morris, but I don't think I'll use him.

I've been getting tired of the Dino template for a while now. Not becuase it doesn't work, but because it isn't mine. The guy at qwantz encourages people to use the template to make comics, and the site has a huge fan section, but it's not an original idea or even an original humor style.

I can't draw. But that doesn't necessarily mean I can't make my own comic. I've gotten promising feedback from the Dino stuff, so it obviously hasn't been a flop. I just need a new theme, or new characters or something. But I'm good at borrowing ideas and changing them some to make them my own....but a comic from scratch might be rough.

In any case, I think I'll be taking a break from Dino comics unless I'm hurting for a new signature or something. Maybe I'll go to 50 to be cliche in our base-10 system.
