Yea, Peter's brains are what win 99/100 of his fights anyway, not his powers.
I remember an issue where he was talking to no one really, and he said that most people think it's his power that makes him the hero he is. He then said, "but its actually a 50/50 split between my power and scientist brain"
Without his powers he wouldn't be a hero but, without his brains he would be a good one! IMO
