First issue comes out this week, and since a preview's up at NRama, figured i'd start this thread a little early.

Really looking forward to this. The art looks fantastic, stellar cast, and with Bendis doing some retconning it's bound to cause some controversy. Should be fun.

DarkCrawler
One thing I don't like is that Namor seems to be drawn as a short fellow...he's supposed to be nearly two meters tall...

Anyway, that is a small mistake.

Not really:

The angle of the picture is from the ground up, and he's behind 3 of them, makes him look at least as tall as Iron Man.

Plus, even though he's behind BB, IM and Xavier ... his head is bigger than their heads... so either he's just a freak or he is a little larger than them.

nimbus006
I am eagerly anticipating this series.

Validus
Looking forward to it. The one shot issue from a few months ago was really good.

Howard_Jones
It's gonna rule.

Entity

Can't wait!!!Jumpy

I like everything about this comic that I've seen so far. Too bad that Black Bolt and DS will HAVE to be powered down to fit in, otherwise...what's the point?

Martian_mind
I see no need for depowerment. We can just have BB and DS do most of the fighting but leave the others each one to figh, and then once there done pat the others and congaagulate on a job well done.

AcousticDoc
Isn't Black Panther suppose to be part of the illuminati?

marvelprince
BP was invited but he declined

Jimmy Buggs
Where is the "villian" counter part group of the illuminati.

Uh .. no.

The Skrulls "saved" him.

Was a little stupid though ... he should've popped open or something.

King_Mungi
With Dr.Strange's shields blowing we clearly see nothing protecting the Illuminati in space. The Skrulls didn't save anything yet. He should have died

MightyEInherjar
Can I get some scans? My local store is closed till the middle of January, and this series is sounding pretty badass...

Obviously the Skrulls are more advanced than humans... no reason to believe they couldn't have saved him froman early stage of "death".

He would have been long dead before they even got to him. They wern't that close to them.

marvelprince
Realistically once his body was exposed to space then he should have exploded (blood pressure blowing through his skin), that is if the cold didn't do him in right away

Exactally, that's what irked me about this issue. However, of course...it's a comic cool

Scoobless
Skrull stasis field kept them from exploding ... shifty

Martian_mind
Are you actually shocked and appaled that a comic didnt make sense? I mean it makes no less sense than a persson gains spider powers because he was bitten by a radio actiive spider,or a alien who uses photosynthesis to gain superpowers or even a talking horse with a magic hammer.osama

No offense, but if you feel that line of logic is correct what the hell are you doing here?

Every fictional world has to abide by it's own set of rules and the reader has to accept these rules in order for the story to make any sense.

Comic rules allow people/beings to gain powers.... they also allow highly advanced aliens to have the technological means to save people who, by our current scientific standards, would be considered dead.

wink

Merry Christmas...merry christmas indeed

Could you have at least not made me so bug-eyed? sad

Scoobless
At least you pwned the hell out of that chimney.

marvelprince
Oh yea, that chimney was properly owned

manjaro
its gonna sound weird but strange looked pretty out of it...in fact by the way IM's armor was crackling i kinda got the sense that he was the one putting the shield's up...but hey then again we clealry see what appaers to be a baby blue colored traction or concussive beam that broke up the green constructs ...so either way since they were brought to the ship to be dissected the skrulls saved them so the point is moot
