Galactus and Odin are two different people their power isn't really the same. Odin is a God. Head of the God on Asgard. Asgard is something which is more connected to Earth than to the Universe like in the myth. Odin is the wisest of all Asgardians. But his power...Hmm...Have you read Thor v2?

For my money, why isn't Thanos in this game? Or Apoc? Or Magneto? Seem like they skipped over alot of great characters in that game. As for Odin, well, they named the skyfather level of power after him, that says something to my mind.

My guess is that Odin at his peak, no"jobbing" would be equal to a ( 1 ) Celestial.

Thanos is a cosmic and can Bitchslap odin (or at least give him a REALLY good fight) It would have been a pre-mature end to the whole game.

DarkCrawler
Odin would beat Thanos.

Anyway, I would say Odin equals to about 30% Galactus or something.

It seems that Doom uses Odin's magics ...

He wasn't an equal when he absorbed all of Asgard besides Thor and entered the Dread One and got squashed by the Fourth Celestial Host.

Well Apocalypse was in legends 2 and mags was in 1 and 2 so they didn't want to overuse X-men related stuff in this game, it was more avengers/ff/random heroes related stuff. Also Thanos is in one of the outcome thingys at the end. It turns out Odin saves everyone from him, provided that you free Odin yes

You kind of get screwed with the Jean and Kurt option though, either you get the Pheonix trying to kill the Xmen, or Mystique killing Charles and the Xmen are disbanded...very disappointing.

Just judging by what I've heard and bits I've read Odin doesn't seem to be that powerful....thats just me though.

HOST-HOST-HOST...He never faced a Celestial one on one...perspective Ali in his prime vs. Iron Mike would make a GREAT FIGHT...but Ali vs. 2 or more Mikes would be a curbstomp.

He also had the Uni-Mind. One Celestial did deflect the Destroyer's ultimate weapon. One Celestial did grab the Destroyer's hand, a blow which could pulverize galaxies.

So is Odin really so powerful that he with ease can take control over the earth, be the most powerful being in that Galaxy and be a universal threat?

His alter ego (Infinity, no, not the abstract), caused damage on every world, just trying to fuse with Odin. After Odin was awaken, he healed all the damage caused.

Infinity is grabbing countless worlds within his hands, and causing destruction.

More destruction occurs. Karnilla attacks him to no avail.

Loki and Karnilla give strength to Odin, and that gives pause to Infinity.
