Fishy already brought up the point, it's very hard to compare two country's (empire's or whatever) from different times. Certainly when technology has changed so drastically.

I prefer US a lot more to UK in some ways. But i think both are, look at usa in general, is it really that powerful? Dpends how you take it, like me, i consider there to be my home at heart.

The U.S has far greater military power, better technology and more manpower, so U.S owns the U.K.

Unless G.W. Bush is still president in this scenario. Gross incompetence can negate any advantage.

While keeping India in our stranglehold would be VERY good on profits (Cheap labour and what-not) it would leave us in a sticky situation because we'd have multiple countries which are technically listed as 'Ours' but not connected to 'us' . Unlike some of the other conquests these aren't small islands....

Britain became powerful because it's isolated from the rest of Europe, and therefore more difficult to invade. America has that same advantage, but we're a lot farther from our enemies.

And that advantage will ensure America stays, if not the hyperpower of the world, one of the most powerful for a very long time.

haha. only on the surface did the FORCES (Elite familys) controlling britain at that time appear to give independance back to these countries. what actually happened was that throught the british empire, they left there bloodlines in place through these countrys, expanding the control. especially apparent in america as 35 of the 52 presidents are related to british kings.

On the history channel, they are talking about limitations on sex and puritans and the victorian age of the lack of sex..and regulating sexual matters that policed sexual morality in Europe and eventually in colonial America.

I was merely correcting misinformation that you were presenting. "Nazi" comes only from the beginning of NSDAP. It's not connected to anything else, and certainly not a Jewish sect of all things.

Also, good job at putting words in my mouth. Where exactly did I write anything about NSDAP? Nowhere, all I did was give the original German name, as that's where the pronunciation of "Nazi" comes from.

I also do not say "I HATE NAZIS" anywhere, and I certainly was not "bashing" you. Again, I was only correcting misinformation.
