Why do people watch Nascar?

One reason, they want to see a crash.

First of all, since NASCAR is an acronym for the National Association of Stock Car Auto Racing, I think you should capitalize the whole thing.

And to reference Dane Cook, people like it because they want to see them crash, no one cares about noisy cars going in 200 laps. They want carnage.

nascar looks easy, but i bet there is more to it than just going fast and left turns.
not near as hard as formula 1, but i bet there is some skill involved.

i betcha that if jeff gordon was to take me under his wing for a week and teach me all he knows, i could be a competitive nascar driver.

I know I could never be a race car driver, I'd get bored of going in circles and stop paying attention. And that leads to events that get me barred from the Go-Carting track.
