We all know that Tarzan is the "Lord of the Jungle", and that Wolverine is the best there is at what he does.......so, Wolverine wants to challenge this so-called "Lord of the Jungle" and see who's the better!!!

Fight takes place in a jungle-thick forest just before dawn...The jungle's full of vegitation, trees, and animals. Wolverine has his bone-claws, super-senses, healing factor, etc....and jungle-know-how.

Tarzan has his knife, bow, spears, etc...and all his animals of the jungle. The lions, the tigers, the bears....Oh My!!!! Not to mention some elephants and gorillas too.

Wolverine starts on one side of the jungle....Tarzan on the other. The object is to track down the enemy and take him down...with whatever means and resources necessary. They have the entire day to accomplish this task and must take out their opponent before dawn the next morning.

So, does Tarzan keep his title of "Lord of the Jungle" or does Wolverine take down Tarzan and end up with Jane in the end?

Although rarely mentioned on these forums, Tarzan is a great classic character and definately a force to be reckoned with. Some of his comics are some of the greatest stories in comics and here some of his many comic appearances if anyone is interested in tracking down some of his comics for an awesome read.....

* Comic strip reprints were published in several titles, such as Sparkler, Tip Top Comics and Single Series.

* Western Publishing published Tarzan in Dell Comics's Four Color Comics #134 & 161 in 1947, before giving him his own series, Tarzan #1-131 (Jan-Feb 1948 to July-August 1962), through Dell Comics (as well as in some Dell Giants and March of Comics giveaways), then continued the series with #132-206 (November, 1962 to February, 1972) through their own Gold Key Comics. This series featured artwork by Jesse Marsh, Russ Manning, and Doug Wildey, and included adaptions of most Tarzan novels through Tarzan and the Lion Men, as well as original stories and other features. Almost all of the Dell Comics Tarzan stories were written by Gaylord DuBois.

* Charlton Comics briefly published a Tarzan comic, on the mistaken belief that the character was in the public domain.

* DC published Tarzan #207-258 from April 1972 to February 1977, showcasing artist Joe Kubert's depiction of the character. The series included adaptions of other Burroughs creations, and had companion books Korak (later renamed Tarzan Family) and Weird Worlds.

* Marvel Comics published Tarzan #1-27 (as well as three Annuals), from June 1977 to October 1979, featuring artwork by John Buscema.

* Blackthorne Comics published Tarzan in 1986.

* Malibu Comics published Tarzan comics in 1992.

* Dark Horse Comics has published various Tarzan series from 1996 to the present, including reprints of works from previous publishers like Gold Key and DC.
o Dark Horse and DC published two crossover titles teaming Tarzan with Batman and Superman. Batman/Tarzan: Claws of the Cat-Woman is a "straight" team-up between Tarzan and the 1930s Batman, while Superman/Tarzan: Sons of the Jungle is a revisionist version in which Lord Greystoke grows up in England, while Kal-El is raised by the apes as "Argozan". Tarzan has also went up against Dark Horse's Predator in the four-issue mini-series published in 1996.

* Though not mentioned by name, Tarzan is referenced in Alan Moore's The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Places and people from the original Tarzan novels are referred to, suggesting that Tarzan does or did exist in that universe.

claws, supersenses and healing factor ftw

At first glance, most people are quick to say "LOGAN, LOGAN, LOGAN"...but really, would Logan stand much of a chance against someone that was raised in the jungle, knows it like the back of his hand, very clever and resourceful, quite the formidable warrior, and has an entire jungle full of animals to do as he commands. Imagine having an army of lions, tigers, elephants, gorillas, rhinos, etc...to do your bidding.

His abilities gained from a jungle upbringing include being capable of climbing, clinging and leaping as well as any great ape, as well as walking on all fours exceptionally well, despite his human-type, opposite body proportion. His senses are enhanced above human level, having been able to smell food or would-be poachers at least two thirds of a mile away, and hear approaching stampedes from two.

The constant challenge of having to go to extreme lengths to obtain food or protect his family from danger, natural or predatory, has enhanced his strength, speed, agility, reflexes, balance, flexibility, reaction time and his ability to multi-task and swim to at least ten times normal human level. He has wrestled full grown bull elephants, rhinos, crocodiles, anacondas, sharks, big cats and even dinosaurs. His feet are just as useful to him as his hands, having clung to trees just by his toes. He is also more than capable of communicating with almost every single species of animal in the jungle.

And remember, Logan has his bone claws and skeleton in this match...so, he can be crushed, stomped, stampeded, impaled, snapped in two, etc...so he isn't quite as formidable as usual.

I'm not saying that Tarzan would win 10 / 10, but I do believe Tarzan would make an interesting, challenging, and quite formidable opponent.

If he has the bone claws, doesnt that mean hes stripped of his adamantium and therefore his biggest advantage?

Guys remember that Tarzan also has enhanced senses and is quite strong as well. (the guy wrestled gorillas)
I think he can't take bone clawed Wolverine.

I'm not sure wether it's a low showing for the Predators, or a very high showing for Tarzan, but Tarzan did manage to beat them in melee. (Or at least when he had prep)

He killed over 100 predators (who had a goddamn shield generator ! ) with just a ROCK and a STICK

Without the adamantium Logan can be beheaded despite having a healing factor.

He only killed couple of them with his own weapons, and he used the Predator's weapons against them selves most of the time.

w/o the adamantium doesn't his healing factor go way up?

Do you have any idea how hard it is to remove a human head when the person is stabbing you in the gut?
