Since we've talked about the best/worst guitarists, pianists, bands and such, I thought that it might be interesting to find out who each of you think was a good one-two punch within any band.

Choices of mine would be: Glen Tipton/K.K. Downing; Michael Wilton/Chris DeGarmo, Dave Murray/Adrian Smith

Thoughts?

Alpha Centauri
Just rock?

Hmm...Jonny Greenwood/Thom Yorke. Technically Ed O' Brian is there also, but mostly them two.

nobody will ever beat the team of tom verlaine and richard lloyd.

Victor Von Doom
The Opeth guitarists.

Unless you are narrowing rock down.

bakerboy
Keith Richards-Mick Taylor in the Rolling Stones.

BobbyD
Sheehan and Vai.

Ian Mackaye - Guy Picciotto (Fugazi)

Skeets
Angus and Malcolm young-AC/DC

EPIIIBITES
Mani/Squire - Stone Roses

As sparingly as the strings have been with Radiohead's music in the past 5-8 years? Still?

I'll agree with the Radiohead and Opeth mentions, and toss in,
Mastodon and Coheed and Cambria as well.

I really enjoy the crazy guitar/time change solo-y thing on Capalarian Quest for Mastodon.

Doherty/Barat - Libertines.

Slay

Darth Jello
Rikk and Frank Agnew, Thurston Moore and Lee Ranaldo, John Lennon and George Harrison

Nope, that's part of what makes that band so great, the way that they intertwine guitar parts.

Doherty/Barat are good, as are Greenwood/Yorke.

What about Albarn/Coxon from Blur?

"They had that one song."

They're probably bigger in the UK. Otherwise, they're nothing here.
