FistOfThe North
As he claimed? I mean there were times when he was right and wrong but were when he was right were they just hunches or was e really prophesying?

LORDSIDIOUS01
Sidious probably can forsee the future, but as well all know what happened in Return of the Jedi.

Gideon
LoE explained it. No one can really "see the future", Sidious was simply gifted enough to have access to "streams" of potential futures. Which is why he could screw up from time to time. He had the possible outcomes and then used his intellect to manipulate one into coming into fruitation.

Nellis Munn
yea like he ''forseen'' luke joining the dark side...

aldisyoyo
its "foresaw"

((The_Anomaly))
"Always in motion the future is" - Yoda

Thats why. And what Gideon said.

Darth Sexy
I don't know, Kreia did see the future herself, 4,000 years before it happened.

And yet Kreia was unable to see her own defeat and death, like Sidious. As I said, they had access to streams of possibilities.

General G
Maybe it doesn't allow you to see your own death...pretty much everyone who could foresee things couldn't see their own deaths.

kamikz
Or the Kreia thing is just KOTOR bullshit. But I believe that it was something with the core of Malachor, might remember wrong though...

That was just thrown in there to be cute.

But it was wrong. Boba comes back.

Kadesh
boba is technically Jango, and boba isnt the last of the mandalorians

Council#13
Mace saw the future of the galaxy in Shatterpoint! firefirefireph

overlord
If we're talking in technical terms, was Boba even a mandalorean? But did that Kreia really forsee a blind guy making Boba fall in a sarlacc? Seems kind of useless.

MaceWindu
I believe he and Kreia could see the future, but it's not really fool proof either. It's not like you close your eyes and a movie starts playing where you get to see every little thing that happens, it's likely just small flashes of certain possible events, hence why they don't see everything.

Council#13
Or maybe they get feelings that something'll happen. srug

FistOfThe North
Maybe it's where Fore see comes from (Force see)

What were you saying?

Tangible God
"he foresaw Luke joning" is more appropriate than "he foreseen Luke joining."

I'm a grammar Nazi, I know. Shut up.

Darth Subjekt
oh absolutely...to be honest, i just saw that one post and figured he meant that wasn't a word or that it wasnt what Palps said, lol...my bad. I hang my head in internet shame...sad

Tangible God
Lol. Pwnzorz.

What were you saying?

Just like when he said "Everything is going according to my design."

Darth Subjekt
actually, not to be a dick, but it goes,

"Everything that has transpired has done according to my design."

i only had to correct you because its one of my favorite lines ever.

Yeah, and I don't think he even got that quote right. I always thought it was:

"Everything that has transpired has done so according to my design."

Captain REX
Subjekt was closer than Nebaris was! eek!

FistOfThe North
Cool. He also used the word "transpired" in Ep.3 when he said "When the Jedi learn what has transpired here they will kill us. Along with all of the Senators."

One of my favorite lines. Or just maybe it was they way he evilly said it. It seems all Sidious's line are monumental.

Darth Subjekt
me missing the "so" is a typo (see profile for proofstick out tongue), but planet, sexyback, crado, neb, whatever he calls himself, was just fvcking wrong.

It's shit like that PROVES that he's a better debater than 99% of the people on here. Way to have a good attention to detail trait necessary for debating, crotch stain.

I'm only saying that because I'm a bastard. no expression

allfg
Read over the first sentence. You see, it's you not making sense which proves how badly you suck.
And yeah, I'm a bastard, and what?

Lol.

It's actually "Everything that has transpired has done so according to my design!"

MadMel
im gonna watch it again and get that line laughing out loud

Darth Subjekt
like i said, i just missed the "so"...

LORDSIDIOUS01
You can go back and forth with this. Thing is, Sidious did foresee his own death. He just didn't realize how he would actually die.

General G
Then how did he see his own death if he didn't know how he was going to die?

Like Yoda said in the Empire Strikes Back, "difficult to see the future, always in motion it is."

And Anakin saw into the future of Padme's death. So I guess Palpatine could too.

Things I don't understand about "seeing into the future": Anakin saw Padme dying in childbirth, and it happenned later on, thats all fine and dandy. But if Anakin had not seen that, Padme would never have lost the will to live and just given up after childbirth.

Darth Sexy
the force works in mysterious ways.

General G
Apparently blink

FistOfThe North
Anakin can foresee things but i don't think he can control it. His clairvoyance isn't willed. Or willful.

Superguy
I assume they only get glimpses of the future, they can't just foresee everything as they wish.
