Of the ones I've seen, Steel definitely.
But I bet if I actually saw it, Catwoman would be the worst.

Sin City was diabolical. It was back to the days of Tim Burtons 89 Batman all hype and nothing for real comic fans. The photography was clever in an experimental way. It was not a comic movie with any heart for the subject matter, it was sterile. As for being noir, it was more B4 pencil shaded grey!

The hulk.
Catwoman

Plus Justice League of America and Flash. Both done in the 90's

Dude...how can anybody say Hulk is the worst comic movie, at least when there's that atrocity known as "Batman and Robin" existing out there on DVD aisles. "Batman and Robin" is and shall always be THE worst comic book movie ever. You know how there's some movies out there that most people hate at first, then slowly it develops a cult following over a good period of years until it becomes a weird fan-favorite. Well this is definitely one movie that has progressively gotten worse and worse each year.

I think many sin city fans would highly dissagree with you, me being one of them. I dont think the movie could have had any more heart towards the subject matter. I felt as though i was re-reading the first sin city comics for the first time all over again while watching the movie.
Of course the film was going to be hyped. It came from hollywood, with three well known directors attatched to the film. The creator of the comics oversaw the entire process. I thought it was as seedy and cult as you could get while still holding a mainstream presence.

Both Hulk movies, especially ang lee's. I can atleast understand why the orginal was so horrid
Daredevil
ghostrider
blade trinity
catwoman
supergirl
and of course nick fury and the orginal punisher...why did so many dissaprove of the newest installment of the punisher? I know the editing took alot away from the movie, but i still thought it was damn decent even if the punisher diddnt get to punish a whole lot of people
even though some of these movies are some of the worst films in all of cinema history, i still enjoy a few as a guilty pleasure .

yeah, i agree with you but considering that the entire movie appears to not have been takin seriously during pre production, Ryan Reynolds was the least of my gripes with that shit fest. The movie would have been even less noteworthy without the comic relief the reynolds brought to the flick.

Hulk, utter crap.

Steel was diasappointing he wore armour, but only used an atheletes strength, the suit didn't even have any power.

Manthing didn't seem to resemble the one in the comic. Then again neither did Spiderman (no web shooters Or Gwen Stacy(first movie)), Xmen (the Iceman was a kid and Rogue was a Teenager who seemed more like Kitty Pride.) Catwoman makes change from white to black on Batman tv show and again in the movie what's with that? FF Dr. Doom did not go up with them in the comic, and Alicia was white in the comic. If they want a black movie character how about the Black Panther, or Luke Cage? Then again the black Panther is Avengers equivelent to Wild Cat in JSA and is White.
DARKLORDCAEDUS
There are a ton of them. The Hulk. Supes Returns. Catwoman. Elektra. The list can go and on.

Superman Returns was a huge let down compared to the 4 Superman movies with Christopher Reeve.

worst: any and all tv movies and serials, superman III and IV, catwoman, elektra, fantastic four, and daredevil (the theatrical releases, the director's cuts kicked ass), howard the duck, the original 4 live action batman movies (the first two were good, they just weren't batman), the 90's punisher movie, hellboy, league of extraordinary gentlemen, swamp thing, etc.

I agree that is wasnt THAT bad. The acting was passable, i even though routh played a better christopher reeves than christopher reeves, because lets face it, he wasnt playing superman, he was playing chris reeves, most of his lines were even recylced from the previous superman movies.
However, the movie was nothing more than a remake of the original superman. A wasted story arc lead to dissapointment intesified with very little superman screen time. I think it was a good rehashing , but a poor advancment into the superman franchise, and the box office disspointment will probably hinder any future movie for the big blue boy scout.

I saw "Nick Fury: Agent of SHIELD" on Fox Movie Channel. It's as bad as you would think, and Hasselhoff was horribly miscast as Fury. They could have at least gone with someone like Eric Roberts (who probably would have been better for the part but has nowhere near the name recognition...)

Here's some more really bad ones that I'm surprised no one brought to the thread. Maybe I missed their being mentioned:
Swamp Thing.
At least the sequel, Return of the Swamp Thing, had some humor. The first one couldn't even get that right.
Judge Dredd, starring Stallone.
It had potential, and deliberately didn't reach it. Still, that "Court's Adjourned" line was pretty memorable - in a cheesy sort of way.
Barb Wire.
There were only 2 reasons to see that movie, and they were both on Pamela Anderson's chest. Was that really enough? Really? I mean, Really?
Howard the Duck.
By far, one of the worst. And yes, he WAS a Marvel Comic Book character.
"Come on! Big Money! No Whammies! Crap. it stopped on Dick Tracy."
Oh - Flash Gordon. That was pretty darn bad.
Last but not least (though very close) is the Phantom. A masked guy dressed in purple with skulls printed on the suit, fighting crime in a jungle.
Egad.
The only redeeming quality was Billy Zane's quirky levity.
Like you guys said, there's plenty out there to choose from.

they should really go with Tarentino and Miller when making some of these movies. Batman or Daredevil would be in these guys ball park.

Batman and Robin (and Batman Forever for that matter) was absolute nonsense...and had they left the previous Batman franchise at Batman Returns - we may well have had Christian Bale playing Batman in a Batman 3 instead of a Batman begins.

some of the Worst of the worst:
Spider-man TV movie (due to bad writing, direction, effects)
Electra (boring, silly, bad/implausible fight sequences)
Ang Lee Hulk (due to slow, horribly boring non-Hulk scenes, emo Hulk)
Superman 3 & 4(all around crapfests)
Spider-man 3 (one of the worst rush jobs ever)
all X-men movies (a few decent scenes and Hugh Jackman aint enough)
All Batman movies after Burton's first 2 (other than Batman Begins - the rest are just plain sillyness)
Superman Returns (mistep after mistep - bad casting other than Routh, bad story, Superman has a kid w/Lois - that demands a reboot in itself!, no drama, silly ending, borefest)
Howard the Duck (still of the biggest flops ever)
F4- rise of the surver (Galactus is a cloud, game over)
Blade4 (Dracula is called "Drake" and just plain sucks, bad action, mucho over acting, Triple H plays a vampire, Whistler non-existant - nuff said)
Flash TV movie (godawful)
All Captain America flicks (definition of bad)
Wonderwoman TV(Carter was perfectly cast, horrible drama)
