This lasts all of about 4 seconds, most of which is the travel time that it takes Mongul to get to the Champion and the time it takes for the Champion to die.

Methinks the power gem is being underrated......... Champion takes this, but only because of the gem. Champ was taking hits from Thanos, who definitely dwarfs both of these 2.

Pre Crisis Mongul was capable of slapping around E1 Superman.

E1 Superman would own the Champion with the PG, and PC Mongul owns E1 Superman.

I doubt it, but eventually, having been blown apart repeatedly by pre Crisis level blasts, the PG will be out of the picture.
