Why is Thanos in this fight?

I'd give it to team 2 because the bio you gave for Mageddon implies he could just write the others out of existance.

BTW I love this description of Omega's powers

Come on, Even I know that Thanos with his Massive Upgrade isn't to be trifled with. He was my answer to Omega. Since THanos really does seem to hate the Universe or atleast love death so much that he has no choice but to hate life.

Actually no. FF544 was a mistake on the writer's part:

I sure did. I had no idea the Watcher didn't have it, either I misremembered the sequence from the Galactus trilogy, or missed a key story since then. Obviously the Watcher got it somehow, between printed stories. If I have the opportunity, I'll come up with a way to explain it. Thanks for the catch.
