Good point. I did some research, it appears Galactus is over 20 billion years old. It appears Celestials are over a trillion years old. smile

Galactus is older than the Universe guy . . .

And the celestials we're born in it (I think)

It would appear Celestials are older than Galactus.

Mr Master
This battle is determined by Galactus' state of power.

When Galactus' hunger went frenzy, he was depicted (in the future) absorbing the Universe/Eternity, and according to that same issue even the entire Universe was not going to be enough.

Eventually everything beyond the Universe was going to be absorbed by Galactus aswell, had he not stopped, by erasing himself and that Universe from the Timestream, the Multiverse would have been in peril.

That's impossible friend.

Galactus existed before Eternity came into being,

and Eternity created the Celestials.

Well it's Galactus vs the Fourth Host (Hargen, Tefral, Nezzar, Gammenon, Arishem, Jemiah, Eson, Oneg and Ziran)

Hungry and Normal Galactus would lose imo.

Full potential Galactus defeats the Fourth Host and every other Celestial in existence.

Off topic, Mr M who is the most powerful Celestial. They are fascinating.

Theoretically Exitar.

Taimut has been more impressing On Panel though.

xjustice69x
with the theory of multi eternity in mind its possible that the celestials where created well befor the existance of this universe(616) or the last.
now acording to the story he (galactus)was created/empowered by eternity.
as where the celestials.
there armor is very much alike imo.
i think at some point the theory was floated that galactus was to become a celesial
is it possible galactus is evolving over the course of the universes time span in to a celestial? or at one time ment to.

Arishem the Judge
Eson the Searcher
Exitar the Exterminator
Galactus the Devourer?

Nah friend,

the Celestials were created On Panel by Eternity through meditation.

Not exactly,

Eternity and Galan bonded to support a Universe's balance, the Celestials were created by Eternity with thoughts, not quite the same thing.

No Celestials ... and life goes on.

No Galactus ... the Multiverse gradually becomes Un-balanced (Abraxas) unchecked inevitably being destroyed.

When considering their power output, this makes little difference.

Galactus is Galactus, supreme unto himself.

This is cool but you can use any name to fit that list.

Tiamut, the Dreaming Celestial. I agree. Where does Scathan place?

Scathan is just another Celestial that was OVERHYPED in that single PIS issue, in actuality I proclaimed it the greatest PIS in Marvel's Cosmological History.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY, before any of you confuse yourselves with these Scans.

"This issue is illogical, poorly written nonsense that one should ignore, It contradicts far too much of what is known and accepted about the characters to be taken seriously. But since this defense is open to the retort that perhaps everything else is wrong and these issues are right, let us instead look at the claims and implications of what is said. Let us examine what one would have to accept if one took everything in these two issues on face value.

First of all, Protege claims not just to be the new Living Tribunal, but the new One Above All (GOTG 49, last page); that is, Protege is God.

If he were indeed now God, what are we to make of Celestial's restraining him by throwing an energy blanket over his head?

Can a Celestial muzzle God?

And how does the energy blanket restrain this new OAA?

By allowing him "to see nothing of what transpires."

Yes, that's right, the new supreme being of the Multiverse is taken down by not being able to see the ends of his feet. laughing

But wait, we don't have to commit to such nonsense, because we are told that the LT was clandestinely drawing on the Amulet of Aggamotto (not the Eye, not the Orb, but the Amulet) in order to restrain Protege.

In conclusion, therefore: Protege becomes TOAA, but is restrained by a Celestial energy hood that cuts off his sight and an amulet enhanced Living Tribunal. wink

If pressed to give an explanation I would say this: there is a history of mortal beings taking on vast powers and erroneously believing they are omnipotent (Doom in Secret Wars 1, Beyonder in Secret Wars 3, Warlock and Thanos in Infinity Gauntlet).

Perhaps Protege believes he is omnipotent,

but because he cannot even sense what is happening after having a hood thrown over his head, clearly his Cosmic Awareness is still Paltry if not Non-existent.

Clearly he has not absorbed the powers of the LT, perhaps he has absorbed an iota of an iota. Therefore, in conclusion, we are NOT seeing a Celestial restraining someone who is more powerful than the LT, let alone TOAA"

I will take a look. In my opinion, that's a lot better than Sue 'defeating' Exitar. Bad writing happens a lot
