Hellion
Julian has shown himself to be one of the most powerful and versatile members of the team.

He's learned to use his telekinetic abilities to fly, to form constructs - such as discs to levitate his teammates and bulletproof forcefields. He can also project powerful blasts of concussive force and levitate multiple tons with little effort.

Hellion
Julian has also shown that he has a huge amount of untapped potential.

Emma unlocked some of this potential in order for him to save X-23's life. He flies her back to the mansion, casually lifting a truck up to punch his way through a Sentinel. That's Dallas, Texas to Salem Center, NY in a matter of seconds. Likely somewhere upwards of 1,000,000 mph.

Since this occurred, although his power level has lowered to an extent, it's still significantly higher than before. The amount of effort it used to take to move a paperclip can now blow a large hole through the Danger Room floor.

X-23

X-23 is much more then just a Wolverine clone...in fact she seems to have the potential to be far superior to her predecessor...of course this is assuming she isn't already.

At the age of Eleven X-23 manages to undergoe the same training session as Wolverine during his Weapon X days. The session itself involves close ranged combat with two Wolves followed by an encounter with a Bear.
X-23 performs within 0.09% synchronicity with the data accumulated from her predecessors run. However in this session she manages to improvise outperforming Weapon X by a whole 3 minutes 24 seconds.

In a way the appeal to her character is that we seem to have learnt more about her in the last three issues of Target X then we have about Wolverine in the last three decades.

X-23

One things for sure X-23 is an extremely skilled individual for her age. This feat demonstrates her phenomenal speed, agility, accuracy, heightened reflexes and a bit of combat awareness as well.
X-23 is busy trying to outrun a group of Weapon X Soldiers. They try and cut her off by dismounting a helicopter a few feat in front of her. She manages to silence them permanently before they even get the chance to aim and fire.
She also manages to take out the pilot of the Weapon X helicopter via a head shot using one of the Weapon X Guns.(Granted the gun does have a scope)
Afterwards she does battle with Kimura(Possibly her very own "Sabertooth" rival). Kimura seems superior in every possible way. However X-23 manages to use the environment to her own advantage. She causes an avalanche using an object as simple as a handgun trapping both her and Kimura in the vast amounts of snow. Both survive.
But X-23 manages to allude Weapon X's capture.

New X-Men vs Nimrod

Unaware that it's been reprogrammed to protect mutants the New X-Men attack Nimrod. X-23 and Mercury cause sufficient damage that it reboots - and reverts to it's original programming. It causes an explosion leveling part of the building. Hellion manages to shield the New X-Men and Forge from the blast though.

New X-Men vs Nimrod

Nimrod attacks again, Surge projects electricity at it to no avail. It sets off another explosion of force, flooring them all. Rockslide steps into the path of Nimrod’s blast and is blasted to dust - seemingly destroyed. Hellion protects himself with a forcefield and lashes out with a TK blast.

X-23 does some damage to the outer chassis. Hellion flies at Nimrod amplifying his kick with telekinesis, then continues the attack with Dust, while the others formulate a plan.

New X-Men vs Nimrod

Hellion’s forcefield holds up against Nimrod’s assault. Dust intervenes clouding Nimrod’s sensory systems, creating an opening for X-23 to do major damage to Nimrod’s chassis. She’s blasted by Nimrod, severely burned - although she does survive the attack her healing factor is overwhelmed.

Mercury claws open the damage inflicted by X-23, preventing Nimrod from repairing and creating an opening to the chronal device within. She holds on despite her weakness to electricity as Nimrod casts an electrical shockweb. Surge then proceeds to overload Nimrod’s chronal device with electricity (while Mercury is still in contact) causing it to be pulled out of time. Hellion pulls Surge off of Nimrod with his TK just in time.

New X-Men vs Nimrod: Aftermath

Despite her electricity weakness and being shocked with sufficient electricity to overload Nimrod's device - Mercury has already basically recovered. They discover Rockslide wasn't killed despite being reduced to dust. Hellion uses some fine control TK to help him reconstitute himself.

X-23 is severely injured and taken back to the mansion by Hellion for healing - for scans see above.

X-23

Not only is she skilled but she is a cunning, and intelligent individual. In the following scans X-23 demonstrates precision, heightened senses, her cunning nature by manipulating Captain America into aiding her in her grand escape, her well versed knowledge in the area of human physiology and her fluency in linguistics.

Note*- "Each victim was cut and/or stabbed in either the brain stem, jugular or aorta with incredible precision."

"Twenty-seven innocent people. Twelve of them women, and two boys ages thirteen and fifteen."

Showing that X-23 is an emotionally detached skilled killer. Also note how Captain America is coaxed into practically opening the door to her escape.

X-23's heightened senses are literally off the charts. Here she is able to locate the whereabouts of her Cousins school by using the very scent of her cousin. She also shows off her vast knowledge in Human Physiology and Linguistics. And also happens to have a very good memory regurgitating the Principals speech back at her word for word.

That is very misleading. It took Wolverine 3 minutes and 21 seconds to track the bear through the forest and kill him... and yet Laura out preformed him 3 minutes and 24 seconds? That doesn't even make sense. It didn't even take Wolverine that long to complete the exercise... and he actually had to hunt the animals down and kill them, unlike Laura. And Wolverine one shot his bear with out getting hit, where as Laura got smacked around like a rag doll... and Wolverine fought five wolves... where as Laura only fought two (and she didn't even kill one of them!). These scientist must have been desperate to keep their funding because they were lying through their teeth.

X-23 & Mercury

X-23 detects the attackers as they’re approaching. The attackers explode the coffee house – both are essentially unharmed. X-23 fights back using her skills and claws, while Mercury morphs her fingers into sharp talons to fight. Mercury is shot with an arrow that takes advantage of her electrical weakness and taken captive. X-23 is also shot with arrows, she takes one and stabs a soldier. She tries to fight Kimura to no avail, but uses her guile - pulling the pin from a hand grenade - to cause Kimura some damage, but escapes. X-23 recovers quickly from the force of the explosion.

Hellion & X-23

The duo leave to rescue Cessily. Hellion provides the transportation – he blasts through the roof, shaking the entire mansion, and flies too fast for the Sentinels to properly track them. X-23 stabs a man’s head through a door and takes a barrage of bullets. The men try to flee, but Hellion stands in the path of their car letting it crash right into his forcefield and flipping it. He then pulls the door off and takes the man’s gun with TK. X-23 can tell the man is telling the truth (enhanced senses) – she mercilessly kills him anyway.

New X-Men vs Stryker’s Purifiers

Hellion TK blasts an assailant off of Emma Frost. Surge speedblitzes two purifiers, but gets hit by a third. The Purifiers are prepared and have weapons that can penetrate Hellion’s TK forcefield.

Mercury and Rockslide use their durability and strength to pummel the Purifiers. Dust awakens amid the chaos – enraged she turns to dust-form and attacks, shredding off the armor, skin, flesh and organs of the Purifiers right down to the bone.

X-23 has a built in trigger that sends her into berzerker rage as soon as she picks up the specific scent. She started her conditioning early, when she was 8 years old.

The trigger itself was only ever used in extreme circumstances. The Kingpin once hired Weapon X to take out a person called Dilorenzo. Who happened to have the power of invisibility. A unique criminal in the sense that he could walk right through Kingpins security and not be detected.

As usual Dilorenzo was outsmarted. X-23 posing as the Kingpins kidnapped niece ripped Dilorenzo and his men to pieces, his invisibility was of no help due to X-23's heightened senses.

During the House of M the New X-Men were training to be fully fledged Shield operatives.

Here are a few feats from the Crossover:

Hellion TK shields block a gun shot from a japanese "terrorist". Mercury uses her body to create a wall between an explosion and her fellow New Mutants. Dust attacks a bomber with a sand cloud and Surge demontrates some super speed.

Mercury is able to morph her body into various shapes including blades that can hold their own against Donald Pierce's blades. Dust contains an enemy in a Sandstorm while Surge demonstrates more super speed.
Hellion now effected by Wallflowers phermones attacks Surge with a powerful TK Blast. Dust who's also effected keeps Synch from concentrating via a Sandstorm. And another speed feat by Surge.

Hellions TK Shields hold against Surges Electric Attack. He also blasts Prodigy off a cliff and once Wallflowers phermones wear off he quickly saves him via a TK bubble. Dust traps Jubilee in a sandstorm. Surge electrifies Illyana via her own sword. Surge and Hellion cause more havoc.

Dust

Using Nimrods database Stryker was able to perceive events in the future and alter events them by effecting events in the past. Upon gazing he discovered that Dust may pose a problem to his "flawless" plan. Here Dust rips off the flesh of a few of Strykers men. She strips them right to their bones.

Dust

Dust's abilities can be potentially incredibly deadly. In her first appearance she is found by Fantomex and Wolverine. The slave-traders tried to remove her burka, she tore the them apart right down to the bone. In her dust-form she becomes completely non-biological - a consciousness in living sand - and can blend easily into the environment, undetectable to human and superhuman senses.

However she returns to human form to ask his help and is subdued.

Mercury

Mercury is just that, living but inorganic mercury - making her immune to things like Wither's death touch and needing to eat and drink. She's incredibly malleable while at the same time having a great deal of tensile strength and durability, she also has very good speed and dexterity in her liquid form.
1) Shields Sooraya and Noriko from fires and a Sentinel blast. 2) Disarms some policemen.

She has a flashback of discovering her powers, as she's being tortured. It should be noted that even though she's often described as having a "weakness" to electricity, she's still actually a lot more resistant to its effects than any ordinary human and on several occasions has taking electrical shocks sufficient to kill people.

Surge

When she first appeared she had little to no control over her powers – explained as the build up of charge causing her brain to function too fast for her to handle. She’s essentially a junkie relying on downers to keep herself in check, her accelerated physiology enhancing this addiction. Here she electrocutes a shopgirl and steals from her in order to get some pills.

The other students and Wolfsbane arrive, they knock her pills away causing her to go berserk. The students can't get close, except for David who manages to predict where her electricity will be fired. They calm her down and take her back to the mansion, where Beast explains how her powers work - she's constantly draining charge from the electrical sources around her in order to recharge.

New-Xmen just became a must buy!

Hellion & X-23

X-23 and Hellion attack the facility where Cessily is being held. They fight off their assailants using their abilities but are attacked by Kimura with a sonic weapon. Hellion overcomes it and telekinetically pins her to the wall, at which point X-23 tells him to kill Kimura. Instead Hellion uses TK to fling her 27.3 miles away, effortlessly, telling X-23 that they have to be better than that. They blast open Cessily's cell, and while trying to help her reconstitute with TK Hellion is wounded by the "Predator" beasts twice. X-23 comes to his aid, and they both fight off the beasts with their powers. However due to the beasts having Cessily's metal grafted to them they can repair themselves. X-23 is prepared to sacrifice herself for the other two, but is promptly told that no one gets left behind by Hellion, who collapses a ton of concrete onto the creatures. X-23 uses her skill and claws to fight off the creatures but they have the numbers advantage.

he got broken to bits in the fight against nimrod, and julian used his telekinesis to try to put him back together. he got all the parts, but put 'em together wrong. he may have added mass from somewhere, too.

New X-Men vs Belasco

Prior to Belasco’s assault on the Institute. X-23 hones her skills in the Danger Room, eviscerating some training robots. Elixir having learnt everything he possibly could from the masses of reference material he received from Beast has become skilled in his abilities. Here he fixes Prodigy’s vision so that he no longer needs to wear glasses.

Belasco initiates his attack, causing the mansion to explode; Hellion instinctively erects a telekinetic forcefield shielding them from the blast. He flies though the heat and pressure of the blast, but is blocked from entry by Belasco’s magic.

Frustrated with what he perceives as the New X-Men’s unwillingness to cooperate, Belasco rips Prodigy’s heart out of his chest.

Rockslide is actually a Psychic Entity who is able to reform himself using the ground beneath him, even after his body has been atomized.

New X-Men vs World War Hulk

They pretty much get beat down, but Santo does manage to sucker punch him...which actually staggers him. They pin him down for a very brief period of time...and the New X-Men get taken down.

Highlights:

Elixir overloads his Healing Factor using his powers. And X-23 slices his eyes.

New X-Men in Limbo

Rockslide holds of a Demon From Illyana's Limbo realm. While Pixie who is now an honorary member of the New X-Men sprinkles a little of her pixie dust at them which causes hallucinations.Rockslide also demonstrates that he can cause a literal Rockslide with his body...destroying his rock body.(He pulls himself back together later on)

New X-Men vs Belasco

Mercury and Dust try their best to hold off Belasco....Elixir manages to "Death Touch" Belasco....it hurts him...but doesn't kill him.
Meanwhile Surge and Hellion are fending off demons in limbo...they head towards the castle and Hellion saves Dust in the nick of time. Surge attacks Belasco with Electricity, this does absolutely nothing...however she distracts him long enough for Hellion to TK Belasco into the ground. Belasco gains the upper hand and the other New X-Men arrive thanks to Pixie learning how to perform a magical teleport from Darkchild. There's a big old fashion brawl. The Cuckoos manage to harm Belasco telepthically...however his mind proves to strong to overwhelm. The New X-Men team up on Belasco and eventually Pixie manages to take Belasco out with her soul sword that Darkchild created from her.

this is great!...they seem so much better than the x-men, they work so muc hbetter as a team, especially since they aren't as powerful.

one character I've been curious is Nehzro, any scans of him in action, I missed the entire bellasco part of their story (until Iread this) and I went from them rescuing mercury straight to the aftermath of the belasco fight, so I have no idea who this guy is

New X-Men vs. The Purifiers

New X-Men V2 #44 21st November 2007

A group consisting of X-23, Hellion, Surge, Mercury, Pixie, Anole, Rockslide and Armour are teleported from the mansion to the Purifiers base in Washington D.C. by Pixies magical spell. They then sneak into the Purifiers headquarters. Hellion knocks a Purifier unconscious with a TK blast. Mercury raps her body around a Purifiers face so he suffocates and falls unconscious.
Anole uses his camoflauge ability to infiltrate the Purifier base further without being detected in order to learn whether or not they have the Messiah Baby. He is grabbed by a depowered Rictor and demonstrates a martial arts throw.
The group deal with more Purifiers. Surge uses her electricity to torture a Purifier. Pixie attacks with her pixie dust, Hellion with TK blasts, X-23 with her claws, Mercury, Rockslide and Armour in her armoured up form brawl. Hellion then gets stabbed by Lady Deathstrike.

A fight breaks loose after the New X-Men are confronted by Lady Deathstrike and her Reavers. X-23 begins the fight by slicing a Reaver right through the middle. Rockslide enters into a brawl with a Reaver and Surge uses her electricity to blow a hole through another one. Rictor intervenes, buying a distraught Pixie enough time to teleport the New X-Men away from the Purifier Base. The port scattered the New X-Men and Pixie's screams alert Emma Frost to their whereabouts distracting her from the X-Mens bout with Sinister and the Marauders.

We see Surge demonstrate her super speed, note the previous scans in the thread which show that her thought processing is directly proportional to the speed she's travelling. We also see Rockslide's body not get damaged after being hit by a very small concussive blast from a non-bloodlusted Scott.

Rockslide and Dust are both attacked by Predator X. Niether are shown harmed in the following panels. This is presumably because Dust went into her sand cloud form. And Rockslide regrew his body back.

Predator X then goes after Indra, Trance and Wolfcub only to be saved by Surge who blasts the creature with electricity buying enough time for the others to escape.

The more I see from x-23 the more I like her.

Apparently the REAL X-23 is actually stuck in the future (2099? I think). That one (along with a bunch of C-list heroes) changed the timeline, but could not go back because they had never died. Meaning they changed time, but could never go back because they had a counterpart in that time that was already living.

This respect thread is freakin sweeeeeet baby!

New X-Men vs Marauders

X-Men V2 #207

Cyclops pits the New X-Men against the Marauders under the logic that the young mutants have the advantage of being an unknown. The action is hard to follow but two New X-Men in particular have moments in the spotlight.

Pixie takes a beating from Omega Sentinel (possessed by Malice), who has enhanced/superhuman strength and durability. As Omega Sentinel taunts her, Pixie drives her Soul Dagger into her stomach frying her systems and knocking her out.

Meanwhile as Emma Frost telepathically squares off against Exodus, at Emma's orders, Dust engages in subterfuge. Unbeknown and undetected by Exodus, Dust in her dust form has been entering his lungs for three minutes and tearing him apart from the inside causing enough internal bleeding to take him out.

She didn't kill her cousin or aunt. She killed her aunt's boyfriend though (he worked for the people who created X-23) but the scent was washed off by her relatives before she got to them.
