Anna Nicole Smith has died, this according to her attorney Ron Rail. She was 39. Desperate attempts to save her life were made by paramedics en route to Memorial Regional Hospital. Smith did not survive, despite receiving CPR and emergency intubation to facilitate her breathing. Smith collapsed at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida and died hours later. I'm with you 100% as far as her credibility, but the reason this was such a big deal is fairly close to the reason The Young and the Restless has been a Superpower on TV for decades. That's all Anna Nicole was - a real-life soap opera character. There isn't a single celebrity out there who qualifies more.

In terms of daytime TV potential, Paris Hilton or Britney Spears would be specks of lint in comparison.

Well, I can't disagree, but I can't agree 100%. She was overall a VERY beautiful woman (and yes, I know, beauty doesn't buy everything and shouldn't be the only reason she is missed, and it's not). I just had to point out her flawlessness. But anyway, yeah she was a bit ditzy and used a funny voice and the whole Howard J Marshall thing was out of hand but she was still a human being and a good person. She clearly loved her son and took great care of him. I'm sure she would've taken wonderful care of her new baby girl too, but unfortunately Danielynn (I think that's her name) won't see her Mommy or her big Brother because they've died most likely from being stupid and OD'ing. Everyone makes mistakes, yes, but it's stupid to make a big mistake like that and end your life. Still, I grieve for her inside.

The only sad thing here is the entire situation.

A woman loses one child just days after giving birth and then dies soon after. That poor baby lost her family in less than 6 months.

From appearances it looked like she and her son were really close, so while as a person Anna nicole may have been really messed up, she made an alright mother. SO while we really dont care what happened, she meant THE world to at least one person on this planet.
The world is filled with focked up parents and such, so she wasn't all that bad.

Psh, please. Death answers to those most deserving. Her death has plagued our daily lives far longer then it should've. Not even Saddam's death was this persistant. Her story appears on every local news channel across the country. I for one have had enough, she had no talent. A woman who's success can be blamed solemnly on her looks, and her golddigging ways. This is why I wish Paris Hilton was given the gift of immortality, I don't think I can live in a world where we drown in the sorrow of her passing.

Actually she was highly recognized back in 2002 for her show on E! and by her Trimspa ads and guess what? I DON'T even watch TV but about 2 hours a week, if even.
