For real?
Rick/Genis
I dunno... That's why I'm asking... I think I'll investigate
Rick/Genis
I see. The Giant Panda is classified as a bear. But the common is classified in the Racoon Family. Hm...
But even though people refer to the giant panda as a bear. It's really the same as the Common Panda. A part of the racoon Family. Interesting.

The Bears and racoons descended from a common ancestor. Pandas are Bears. Basically though they have all the disadvantages of large bears without the advantages. Because they have a narrow mainly vegetarian diet consisting largely of bamboo shoots they don't have time for much besides eating and rubbing themselves on trees.
Not that I am an expert on bears

The great panda is a bear but, side note, something i'd almost forgot, i think it's called a firefox or something but people thought it was a mini panda is a Racoon. That might be why you thought what you thought Rick!
Rick/Genis
Now then why would every source I come across state that A panda, like the Koala, are not bears? I realize Panda's and Koala's shouldn't TRULY be compared (being that a Koala is a marsupial), but it doesn't change the fact that a Racoon is NOT a bear, and therefore neither is a Panda.
I'm just going by the 4 sources I've looked up.

So I think the real way this would be resolved, is to have both Pandas and Raccoons fight.
Who would win, 2 full grown male Pandas, or 5 full grown male common raccoons?
Rick/Genis
I wouldn't put it past the Racoons... those F***ers are vicious!
MightyEInherjar
No kidding, and everyone knows pandas are wusses.
Raccoons 9/10.
Rick/Genis
I'd say Raccoons 8.5/10 (I've heard Pandas eat small rodents IF they can catch them).
