The Cosmic Entities have decided to gather their greatest villains in a competition to determine who the greatest villain of the universe is! They are put through a series of 5 elimination challenges, the person who remains at the end is the winner.

6 Competitors:

Darkseid, Lex Luthor, Apocalypse, Onslaught, Dr. Doom, Thanos

Test 1: Power - A great villain must be very powerful to present a viable threat to the heroes who challenge him. Eliminate the least powerful remaining contestant. (5 remaining)

Test 2: Ruthlessness - A great villain is completely ruthless. He will do anything without conscience to achieve his objectives. Eliminate the least ruthless remaining contestant. (4 remaining)

Test 3: Ambition - A great villain is ambitious as he his hunger for power is rivaled only by his relentless pursuit of achieving some greater ultimate purpose. Eliminate the least ambitious villain. (3 remaining)

Test 4: Intelligence - A great villain does not get there by sheer power alone, or else he would just become someone else's lackey. A great villain is someone whose sheer intelligence is a menace for the world's heroes. Eliminate the least intelligent remaining contestant. (2 remaining)

Test 5: Showdown - Even with all the attributes, a great villain must be able to call down his minions and hold his own in a battle to be the Greatest Villain. The 2 remaining contestants battle each other and the survivor of that battle is the winner.

I won't bother typing out each match.

Thanos wins, IMO.

Oh, and Magneto shouldn't be in there

Darkseid, Lex Luthor, Apocalypse, Magneto, Dr. Doom, Thanos

Test 1: Power - A great villain must be very powerful to present a viable threat to the heroes who challenge him. Eliminate the least powerful remaining contestant. (5 remaining)

Lex being the only non powered being.

Test 2: Ruthlessness - A great villain is completely ruthless. He will do anything without conscience to achieve his objectives. Eliminate the least ruthless remaining contestant. (4 remaining)

Magneto has played the hero almost as often as he has the villain.

Test 3: Ambition - A great villain is ambitious as he his hunger for power is rivaled only by his relentless pursuit of achieving some greater ultimate purpose. Eliminate the least ambitious villain. (3 remaining)

Apocalypse. He wants to rule the world. Thanos, Doom and Darkseid have their eyes set on the universe/multiverse.

Test 4: Intelligence - A great villain does not get there by sheer power alone, or else he would just become someone else's lackey. A great villain is someone whose sheer intelligence is a menace for the world's heroes. Eliminate the least intelligent remaining contestant. (2 remaining)

Darkseid... When was the last time he created any kind of device.

Test 5: Showdown - Even with all the attributes, a great villain must be able to call down his minions and hold his own in a battle to be the Greatest Villain. The 2 remaining contestants battle each other and the survivor of that battle is the winner.

Doom Vs. Thanos. Both guys have numerous times had the world/galaxy/universe/multiverse in their hands... However Thanos was the only one who gave up absolute power just for the hell of it.

Thanos kills doom. easily.

What happen to Onslaught???

swerve1988
APOC....btw this is a great thread.....i like discussing these impact players....
test 1-lex
test 2-Doom
test 3- onslaught
test 4- hard choice but, DS
final battle would take years....APOC produces NO fatigue toxcins what so ever and thanos is well....thanos( you guys really do sleep on APOC, this battle is closer than you think)

Jyppe
Uh, Thanos would stomp Apoc easily. I'd say Darkseid or Thanos will make it to the end.

Soljer
It comes down to Darkseid or Thanos.

Current Thanos we don't really have any information on. Anything you may want to argue would be naught but speculation. erm.

Lord Urizen
Thanos is becoming really soft though...he's a lot more logical now than he ever was before..

I say, yes, Thanos is a greater villian than Darkseid over all, but currently, Darksied is far more evil than Thanos.

Darksied is just as evil as he has always been, Thanos is less evil now than before

Utrigita
If this Thanos isn't bestowed with the gifts from death and less evil then I would think It would be Onslaught vs Darkseid in the end, but it doesn't really matter Darkseid wins

batdude123
Darkseid.
