Well, this happened ages ago, but for those who don;t know, heres a catch up of what happened in it:

Thanks to "The Lost Experience", many questions have been answered, and many questions have been introduced. The question on everyones mind was; "What are the numbers?". Well, apparently a mathematician created formula to end mankind, which was exposed in a book by Gary Troup ( a real author) who also wrote a book called Bad Twin, which featured on Lost. Every form of the equation was supressed, even the book went missing. Apparently Gary Troup died in the Flight 815 crash.

The hanso foundation is a scientific group mentioned a lot in lost (the Dharma was influenced by alvar hanso himself, as said in the orientation video of the swan.)
On the Hanso website, (www.thehansofoundation.org, which is now down. Click on humanity in his speech to find a hidden page), there was a Hacker called Persephone, who we now know to be Rachel Blake. She was on a mission to bring down hanso. A guy called DJ Dan ran a radio station, and his arch enemy was Hanso. Alvar Hanso himself owns the Hanso foundation, but apparently has gone missing.

In Episode 7, we see a man by the name of Thomas Mittlewerk, who has links to Hanso. He is a man of science, and noone knows much about him. (http://www.mittelosbioscience.org/ , this site features info about Ethan Rom, and Juliet).

Back to the equation;
This is were the numbers come in: The output of the equation was 4,8,15,16,23,42. If you could change a factor, you could prevent the end of mankind. This is were Hanso Foundation comes in; They set up a research project on 'the Island' and named it Dharma. WIthin the lost experience, we gathered that Dharma ment Department of Heuristics And Research on Material Applications. Dharma was unseccesful in editing the factors, meaning that mittlewerks plan of dooming mankind was set for success.

Mittlewerk now had a virus, which he disguised as a vaccine, went to affect a factor that was in his control. This factor was the population. If he reduced the population by 30%, it would upset the balance of the equation.

Apparently, Rachel uncovered this plan with a series of blogs. She set out around the world to find out the truth, and did so in Sri Lanka. She taped mittlewerk instructing a team of hanso cronies how to carry out the deadly tests of the vaccine.

Rachel managed to find Hanso, with the help of a Hanso mole. Hanso confirmed the plan and said that he was in fact, Rachels father. Rachel brought the video to the authorities and they tried to capture Mittlewerk but were met with an office rigged to explode. The evil Mittlewerk has escaped, vowing to continue his work to save humankind.

Thats when the lost experience drew to a mostly inconclusive end, leaving loads of cliffhangers, but giving us a basic idea of the story behind lost. The lost experience was helped by many advertisement big names, including Verizon, Sprite, Jeep and Monster.com . Sprite was mentioned more in the Lost Experience than Dharma.
