Lightning Bolt surprisingly has more structure than many other bands I'd consider to be "noise rock".

especially hypermagic mountain. a couple songs on there are essentially pop. but the brutality of their sound is impossible. they are so, so much more "metal" than 99.99 percent of metal bands.

lightning bolt is definitely less abrasive than the standard noise band, but i feel like they should be included under the noise umbrella. i can't really think of another genre to put them in, except maybe "experimental rock", and that's just lame.
