Meh to get back on topic I can't wait for this. I only had a passing knowledge of most of the characters in the first annihilation mini and I enjoyed that quiet a bit. I know nothing of the characters lined up for the next event. So I'm going to be reading them with fresh eyes sort to speak. Though I have confidence that the writers can make me take a talking raccoon as a serious threat

Abnett is the guy who wrote the Majestic series, second volume right? He had a nice feel for the cosmic stuff imo.

If only they could've gotten the guy who drew Majestic during that time. I'd be all on board if that was the case.

The Surfer mini had great art, but everything else was just plain, or just plain ugly.

DnA own the shit out of Giffen when it comes to big time Cosmic stuff. Their LOSH run proves that. Marvel couldn't have picked better writers for this event.

So anyone think this series will have the Beyonder as a villain? I just remembered it was mentioned in one of the Annihilation prologue books that his essence was freed when T &A broke out of the Kyln and they never went anywhere with that plot point.

I'm not sure but I know that there were more trapped than Aegis and Tenebrous. In the Annihilation prologue, Galactus states that there were others besides Aegis and Tenebrous that he trapped.

Well I just read it and Wendell does make an appereance.....He apparently is inside the bands helping fight Annihilus's corruption of the bands. He drags off some image of Annihilus into some hole saying he will have to stay there to keep Annihilus there......He then tells Phyla that perhaps they will meet again one day.....She goes on about how heroic he is.

what do you guys think? That would make absolute perfect sense. Tyrant is a machine built to have complete control over other machines. It would show that he is in charge of the phalanx and that he used Annihilation as part of his cover however is Marvel smart enough to do this

what do you guys think? Marvel has stated that the big bad will be a FAN FAVOURITE...Tyrant is hardly a fan favourite, (except maybe to his 5-10 internet fanboys).

High Evolutionary looks to be the big bad...as his face is depicted on the cover of issue 3...and the idea being theorized is that he is being used as a tool to modify the Phalanx, by the Dire Wraiths, (the real villains behind the Conquest).

Well the villain has been revealed...and it is:

Warlock has, apparently, emerged from his cocoon too early- he's not as strong or as stable as he normally is. or at least that's the impression I got from Quasar 4 and from the interview on Newsarama.

Starlord was a good read, looks like Captain Universe is quite the guy after all.

The Phalnyx on their own aren't exactly smart enough to pull off a plan this big.

Plus its nice to see Ultron pulling off something this big, for once. I mean he's always been a major villain, but he's never done anything to this level before.

I picked it up and it has promise, I kinda dig Warlock's new design but Ultron?

Apoc would have made more sense, but he's MIA being the Celestials's *****. Why Ultron? This creates a continuity cluster****. AW doesn't have the soul gem, so why is he going nuts from people dying?

No it doesn't. The events of Mighty Avengers 1-6 take place in a single day, the events of Annihilation Conquest take place months later.

It wouldn't really matter if it happened at the same time as MA or not, IMO. It wouldn't surprise me if Ultron had more than one copy of himself running around.

It's happened before. Ultron-11 and Ultron "Mark" 12 were independently active at the same time.

Not sure why, but when i saw ultron and i thought why? my interest just died out, i am not looking foward to this series, why are they not refering to the xmen and thier clashes with the phalanx thru out the series so far? IMO the phalanx looked much better when they were tied in to the xmen in two major story archs

Would be a great time for the warlock(phalanx) to show up, if possible.

He would have been a much more interesting villain, IMO, than Ultron...and pulling off something as ballsy as this would have given the character some MUCH needed credibility.

That was a theory I sort of pitched over at CBR about a month ago...with the saviour being a reborn X-Man!

Before you laugh...understand that Nate would have made as much sense as a Kree saviour as Adam Warlock does...which is none...but at least he would have had a connection to Apoc.

i too am a little apprehensive about ultron...cuz lets face it. aliens might come to earth...kill some ppl...and do some property damage but earth isnt getting conqured anytime soon, and it would throw all reasonable credibilty out thwe window to have shown Ultron spearheading a "successful" galactic seige only to be finally stopped by a few spandex jockeys on earth...which is exactly what will happen. BTW what the F is high evolutnioary doing in kree space anyway?
