lovethemtigers
Let's see how many of Jack's quotes we can get on here...copying and pasting from the script is allowed....and post a screen cap if you have one...

I'll start...the very first words I ever heard uttered by jack/johnny still get me excited...once I realized I was in love with Johnny and he became this larger than life man to me...I would replay this scene over and over and just listen to the sexy sound of his voice...even though I knew of Johnny ...i never watched not one of his movies until I saw Pirates...and then I was hooked....

"Let's make it three schillings and forget the name"....LOVE this...

and the harbor master replies "Welcome to Port Royal, Mr. Smith"..
I love Jack's little bow with his praying hands..which is a natural reaction of Johnny..his gracious, thank you reaction....so sexy..

pirate179
how about this one
" Like i said, Persuade me"
gotta love it

siriuswriter
It's not a quote, but that zoom out of Jack looking so dignified sailing in to Port Royal on the top of the mast of that boat.... and then we see that he has to be doing that; it's sinking. laughing out loud

pirate179
^^i love that part! sorry just thought i would share lol

lovethemtigers
yeah...I love that...it's the first time we ever get to see Captain Jack Sparrow....

pirate179
*sigh* i am so in love love

pirate179
sorry, i know this isnt a quote, but i absolutely LOVE all of his little smiles and smirks, so sexy, and his voice is so sexy too! he looks so good even when hes a dirty smelly pirate! sorry again, not a quote but "couldnt resist mate" (ha! there, a quote! now its on topic!lol)

lovethemtigers
i love the conversation he has with Murtogg and Mullroy...
one of my favorite scenes from COTBP...when they are arguing about the Black Pearl being real or not and Jack slips past them onto the Interceptor.....

MULLROY (CONT'D)
Get away from there! You don't
have permission to be aboard
there!

Jack spreads his hands in apology.

JACK
I'm sorry. It's just such a pretty
boat. Ship.

The sailors study him suspiciously.

MURTOGG
What's your name?

JACK
Smith.

MULLR0Y
What's your business in Port
Royal, 'Mr. Smith' ?

MURTOGG
And no lies!

JACK
None? Very well. You've rumbled
me. I confess: I intend to
commandeer one of these ships,
pick up a crew in Tortuga, and go
out on the account, do a little
honest pirating.

MURTOGG
I said, no lies.

MULLR0Y
I think he's telling the truth.

MURTOGG
He's not telling the truth.

MULLROY
He may be.

MURTOGG
If he were telling the truth he
wouldn't have told us.

JACK
Unless, of course, he knew you wouldn't
believe the truth if he told it to you.

Murtogg and Mullroy consider that point --

lovethemtigers
just before this scene..when Jack is checking out the situation in his efforts to commandeer a ship..

pirate179
i have no script now but, the whole part of...
shall we seal in blood?....uh ink?? LOL

pirate179
what about the new one from the disney clip...
"did no one come to save me just because they missed me?"

AudioHeart
How about "Can you sail under the command of a pirate or can you not?"
(Captain Jack Sparrow to Will Turner) from P1

big grin

AudioHeart
Got two more :

"Full pardon, comissioned as a privateer on behalf of England and the East India Trading Company".......and "My tremendous intuitive sense of the female creature informs me that you are...troubled" sorry if thats not it word for word but I did my best!

PirateDiva
sounds close enough to me...LOL!

AudioHeart
haha thanks big grin

AudioHeart
WOO HOO GOT MORE!!!

JACK SPARROW

Is that how you're all feeling, then?
Perhaps dear old Jack is not serving
your best interests as captain?

No! If we don't have the key, we can't
open whatever it is we don't have that
it unlocks. So what purpose would be
served in finding whatever need be unlocked,
which we don't have, without first having
found the key what unlocks it?

Yes to the first, yes to the second,
but only insofar as we keep to the shallows
as much as possible.

I have every faith in your reconciliatory
navigational skills, Master Gibbs, now
where is that monkey? I want to shoot
something.

AND FINALLY . . .

This is the day you shall always remember as the day that you almost caught captain jack sparrow (that one is by far my most favorite!)

AudioHeart
Omg I'm loving this thread, I think it's because I have seen both movies soo many times, I can quote them both LOL!

siriuswriter
I love the part when Murtogg and Mullroy are arguing, Jack sticks his tongue down into his gums and rolls his eyes and just sort of... sidles... out of view. I laughed really loudly the first time I saw that, I think then it just hit me what sort of character Jack was the first time I watched CotBP. That moment is so genius!

I love it...all fabulous quotes by the gorgeous Pirate...so funny!!! Don't you just love him.....and the way he phrases things and the words he uses....I find myself trying to talk like him .....OMG...off to the obsession thread...

lovethemtigers
From COTBP in the Blacksmith's Shop where Jack and Will meet for the first time.....

Jack Sparrow:

Do you think it wise, boy? Crossing blades with a Pirate?

You know what you're doing, I'll
give you that ... Excellent form
... But how's your footwork? If I step here -

You need to find yourself a girl, mate.
(Will sets his jaw)
Or perhaps the reason you practice
three hours a day is you've found
said strumpet and are incapable of wooing her?
You're not a eunich, are you? (and he glances down at Will's front - LOL)

at the end of the sword fight...
WILL (CONT'D)
You cheated.

JACK

(smiles; what do you expect?)
Pirate.

willofthewisp
I like the exchange he has with Gibbs at Tortuga when he explains Will is Bootstrap's only kid. Gibbs seems to grin and he says something like, "There's bound to be some scum around here" and Jack says, "One can only hope."

"Take what you can. Give nothing back," and then their little toast. True pirates there.

lovethemtigers
also their very first words...I love this part...Jack is soo smart and sexy...

JACK

You seem somewhat familiar ... have I threatened you before?

WILL

I make it a point to avoid familiarity with pirates.

JACK

Ah. Then it would be a shame to put a black mark on your record. So if you'll excuse me ...

lovethemtigers
in the jail...after he's arrested....

JACK

You can keep doing that forever, that dog's never going to move.

PRISONER

Excuse us if we ain't resigned ourselves to the gallows just yet!

willofthewisp
Jack: Then where do all the stories come from, I wonder?

He's not your average dumb pirate. He started MENSA's pirate chapter. Not to mention brings sexy back.

AudioHeart
I have a screencap, i know it's late but I just found it after looking through my thousands of POTC pics, I mean it I really do have alot LOL, I guess that's where obsession takes you...
Oh and this is the I know what I want scene

jackismyboo
in p2
"is this a dream?"

bootstrap *shakes head* "no"

jacks nods realizing it "i thought not if there were there be rum"

bootstrap grins raises and arm, and hands Jack the rum.

ivebeendepped43
i dont knw my fav. probably
"You look bloody awful, what're you doin' here?"
"You hired me. I can't help it if your standards are lax!"
"You smell funny!"

willofthewisp
Hee hee, I like when he gets Will and James. This is short, but shows just how witty he is. Norrington wants him to be "silent as the grave" and asks Jack if he's made himself clear.

Jack: Inescapably.

siriuswriter
"I love weddings. Drinks all around!"

Norrington: *Glare*

Jack: *Yikes*

tee_pirategirl
AWE in purgatory:

Jack:What would my torment be without wierd crabs here to mock me!!!

DMC:

Gibbs:so we're heading out to find what ever this key unlocks!
Jack: If we don't have the key we can't open whatever it is we don't have that it unlocks! so what purpose would be serving finding whatever needs be unlocked -which we don't have-withput first having found the key wha' unlockes it?

AudioHeart
Jack to Will : "No, you want you to find this, because the finding of this finds you incapacitoraly finding and or locating in your detecting of the discovering of a way to save your dolly belle' ol'what's her face

...You have no idea how long it took me to type that, sorry if there are spelling mistakes...

PirateDiva
You know what....EVERYTHING THAT COMES OUT OF THAT MAN'S MOUTH.....I LOVE love so i quote all his lines....lol!

tee_pirategirl
LOL yeah I was about to say that line to! I especially like it because Jack adds a "savvy?" in the end and Will looks at him like "HUH? No most definitely NOT savvy! Come again?"

I love all of his confusing and complicated lines. The ones that make him want to kill the writers lol.

Jack: Do you have the courage and fortitude to stay true and follow orders in the face of danger and almost certain death?

AudioHeart

AudioHeart
JACK SPARROW
Just how many souls do you think my
soul is worth?
JACK SPARROW
You're a diamond, mate. Send me back
the boy, I'll get started right off.
JACK SPARROW
Have you not met Will Turner? He's noble,
heroic, *terrific* soprano. Worth at
least four... maybe three and a half.
And did I happen to mention... he's
in love. With a girl. Due to be married.
Betrothed. Dividing him from her and
her from him... would only be half as cruel as to actually let them bond in holy matrimony, savvy?

OH AND I QUOTE SAVVY JUST BECAUSE THAT LINE IS SOO AWESOME, DID ANYONE NOTICE HOW AWE IS IN AWESOME!!!, NOW THAT'S AWESOME!!! eek! big grin laughing

there is not a Jack quote that I don't like....

this thread could go on forever and ever...

lovethemtigers
"What did the bird say"

"no, much more better, it is a drawring of a key?"

lovethemtigers
Classic Jack Sparrow...just before Will goes over to the FD to find the key:

will: That's the flying dutchman. She's doesn't look like much."

Jack: Neither do you. Do not underestimate her....(then he nudges Gibbs to go along with him)
Gibbs: must've run a- foul of the reef...
Jack: What's your plan then?

And If there are crewmen? ....I like...simple, easy to remember..

Oy, if you do happen to get captured just say Jack Sparrow sent you to settle his debt...it might save your life.

Douse the lamps.

hahah i love when he like nudges gibbs to go along with it

jackismyboo
i love the enuchy parts when he talks about or to Will

Jack examins Will. pinches his arm, inspecting him. points to Will shakes his head. Makes a 'snip' gestures "eunuchy" the cannibols look disapointed

or in p1
He is my uncles son distant cousin twice removed great serprano eunuch! points behind him at Will. (sorry if that was a little incorrect i can't find the script so it is by memory)

AudioHeart
Jack: Lizzie, I love you...Will you marry me?

Whoops, sorry that's just what I WISH he would say... wink

Anyway...

JACK SPARROW
Oh, Mr. Gibbs.

GIBBS
Aye.

JACK SPARROW
Uh, I feel sullied and unusual.

GIBBS
And how do you intend to harvest these
ninety-nine souls in three days?

JACK SPARROW
Fortunately, he was mum as the condition
in which these souls need be.

GIBBS
Ah... Tortuga!

JACK SPARROW
Tortuga.

lovethemtigers
How do I get an avatar and where do you put it on the profile..I can't seem to find it....

PirateDiva
u can get any pic and go to main profile under avatar and use the avvy thing (it will size it to the size it need be).

Pirates-Orlie
Why is the rum always gone?
Oh that's why.

Ooh I love this line

Look what I got!
I've got a jar with dirt!
I've got a jar with dirt!
And guess what's inside it!

Again a great line. If he falls, that's so funny.

lovethemtigers
Elizabeth: Captain Sparrow

Jack: Come to join me crew, lad, Welcome Aboard

Elizabeth: I've come to find the man I love

Jack: I'm deeply flattered, son, but my first and only love is the sea

Elizabeth: Meaning William Turner, Captain Sparrow

Jack: Elizabeth (looks her up and down, turns to Gibbs) Hide the Rum
(turns back to Elizabeth ) You know, these clothes do not flatter you at'all it should be a dress or nothing. I happen to have no dress in my cabin..

Elizabeth : Jack, where's Will? I know he came to find you.

Jack: Darling, I am truly unhappy to have to tell you this. But due to an unfortunate and an entirely unforeseeable series of circumstance that have nothing whatsoever to do with me, Poor Will has been pressed-ganged into Davy Jones' crew.

_ I love this scene...first great scene of many between Jack and Liz in DMC....
I almost died when he said "it should be a dress or nothing"....I was like...did he just say what I thougt he said...OMG>.....

and I love his long winded explanation of what's happend to Will and the expression on his face...Priceless, Classic Jack Sparrow...Love the man...

lovethemtigers
and then to Norrington......

Elizabeth: Davy Jones?

Norrie: Oh, please, the captain of the Flying Dutchman?

Jack: (to Norrie) What are you doing here? YOu look bloody awful.

Norrie: YOu hired me. I can't help it if your standards are laxed.

Jack: You smell funny.

LOL...I love that part...Jack is crazy...and so sexy...

ivebeendepped43
oh so ssexxi

willofthewisp
hee hee hee, Will and Gibbs talking about Jack.

Will: What did he use for rope.

(Gibbs looks stumped)

Jack: Human hair.....from my back.

I think everybody in the theater about died when he said that and we knew we were watching a classic. Smart-ass Jack.

tee_pirategirl
The most interesting part is that Johnny added the "..from my back." part himself. Teehee! I heard this quote somewhere. Maybe an extended scene or first draft script?

Jack: there seems to be a lot of huzzaying going on here?

am I imagining it? was it a blooper? maybe something Johnny blurted out? can someone tell me where it was?

lovethemtigers
Jack, Norrington and Will in the three way sword fight...

Norrington: Please excuse me while I kill the man that ruined my life.
Will: Be my guest.

Jack: Let's examine that claim for a moment, shall we, former Commodore. Who was the man that at the moment you had a notorious pirate safely behind bars saw fit to set said pirate free and take your dearly beloved all to himself, eh? So who's fault is it really that you've ended up a rum-pot deckhand what takes orders from Pirates, eh?

willofthewisp
Jack-logic: confusing at times, but always right.

I forgot about the sullied and unusual line. I think that's my very favorite.

ivebeendepped43
lol thats one of my favs. ive used it numerous times

calypso
These are some of my favorites:

I love those moments, I like to wave at them as they pass by.

Funny ol' world innit?

Easy on the goods darlin'.

I want my jar of dirt.

Not good.

And the one that makes me cry, "ello beastie."

lovethemtigers
okay,...

As I said, Persuade Me

Pirate

Let's make it three shillings and forget the name

Smith, Smithy if you like

I can't help it, it's such a pretty boat, Ship.

Elizabeth, It would have never worked between us, Darling, I'm sorry

Now show me that horizon

Welcome to the Caribbean, Luv

I like it, simple, easy to remember

Don't do anything stupid...Like that...

What the Pear really is, is Freedom....

peas in a pod, Darling

lovethemtigers
She's only a ship, mate...

We're not free yet, luv

My intuitive sense of the female creature informs me that you are troubled...

One word, luv, Curiosity

You should keep a more watchful eye on her, maybe lock her up somewhere...

Well, there comes a time when one must pay for one's mistakes...

tee_pirategirl
I WOULD name all of my favorite lines but let me just say: "everything that comes out of his darn SeXy lips." and save myself the trouble.

ivebeendepped43
oh so true!!!

willofthewisp
Can we include expressions and gestures? I love that thing he does with his tongue when he meets Mr. Cotton. He must have a vivid imagination because he really looks freaked out by the missing tongue.

Chiki Mina
Well if you want to talk about gestures, one of my favorite gestures in DMC is the part when he says "my compass works fine." I love his gesture and the way he says it.

jackismyboo
In The Brwons blacksmith's shop after he asked Will "You're not a eunuch are you?" then he makes a disgusted kinda face then looks down at will you know whats.

"eunuchy" 'snip' 'snip'

tee_pirategirl
LOL if we're doing face motions/gestures I'd say the look he gives lizzie in their first scene in DMC when Norri says "u don't actually believe him do u?" and he looks at her like "plz believe me!"

PirateDiva
I Love Jack!!

Chiki Mina
He uses his tongue alot lol

In COTBP He did his tongue thing when he found out Cotton has no tongue

Then in DMC when Bootstrap ate a bug.

DMX again when Jack was reading the letters Beckette had.

lovethemtigers
hey,...he uses his tongue to lick his lips just before he hands Lizzie the compass.....

Here is one of my favorite Jack quotes from Curse of the Black Pearl:

Jack Sparrow:
Well, then, I confess, it is my intention to commandeer one of these ships, pick up a crew in Tortuga, raid, pillage, plunder and otherwise pilfer my weasely black guts out!

and one of the british sailors says: I said no lies.
Murtogg: I think he was telling the truth

lovethemtigers
I absolutely Love Jack Sparrow....and every quote that comes out of his sexy mouth...which happens to be the sexiest mouth in the world.....universe....
