I was in a different city when my cat died...and my step mom called my cell phone at like 2 in the morning and was like crying and it was really sad cuz then I crying and I had had him since I took him from my aunts farm and brought him home...and he lived only three years cuz he got really sick from racoon attacks...he liked attacking other animals

I had a cat that died once, it's a sad thing. My condolences.

Well, my snake got out, and escaped, so I'm thinking he's dead now.

Might sound ridiculous being a snake and all, but I raised him and his siblings from a clutch of eggs, and have basically been his 'parent' for 2 years. Now he's gone, and it's devastating...

Didn't plan on it impacting me so much.
