I know theyre not brilliant, but m only really a beginner at thisbig grin
more to come..

DigiMark007
They could be a lot smaller and still work fine.

What program are you using?

soin2cal
Yep, they definitely need to be smaller. However they arent for use on my sig on herestick out tongue

photoshop.

melane
Nice for your 1st tries.I like the texts, mine always comes out blurry.Also,500x150 would be better,i think.

soin2cal
It came out blurry on the actual program.
Thanks melane, without your help i wouldnt be on my way to making blends well.

Yours might only in Ps,but mine does after you post too,and no problem.

Barker
Yeah, so there's these new tools called the lasso and pen tools.

What he's saying is "Be more careful cutting out renders and blend if possible". PS can make it look lots nicer, and there's some jagged edges on your current ones. Tutorials help too.

soin2cal
cutting out renders..sorry im unsure on what you mean.
I dont use lasso tool but yes that makes better edges.
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a244/katp/Untitled-3copy.jpg
You can see where the edges have been covered. I like this one bestbig grin Im finding it hard to remove those jagged egdes.

melane
He mean that you have to be careful when cuttng out the original pic.
And nice.

DigiMark007
Magnetic lasso tool can help sometimes. I use Gimp for cutting renders, but I think there's a Paths tool in PS as well that gives you more control.

soin2cal
OO yes thats where i went wrong at the beginning on the first one. The middle pic had mistakes.Jagged edged arent as noticable in the smaller sized version.

masterkit
Okay for your first tries, but Dakota Fanning scares me.

Lana
Try actually...you know...blending them. Instead of simply cutting out a couple pictures and putting them on a blank background.

soin2cal
I cut them then blend, i sometimes wander how to use the spaces up though. I also find it hard to find a decent background LOL!
I have picked the blending up more, but i still find the other a problem.

this was a starter.

boobsmagee
what program are you using, and just reducint opacity isnt blending, smudging the edges, and stuff like that overlapping slightly so that your pictures goes into/flows into the backround

soin2cal
Yes. However how do i do that?
How can i make brilliant sigs if im beginning? these arent rubbish. Yes more effect on the edges is what you mean right?

Barker
Use less pictures because using too many is redundant. Solid color backgrounds aren't too good of an idea for people, go for something more detailed.

soin2cal
Yep a proper background with more in it.

Hmm three pictures are commonly fine with a sig.

Lana
Most people rarely use more than one. It detracts from the focus of the sig if you have many pics in it.

soin2cal
You know the sigs with mirror imaged faces on? I am meaning more that where you might have two pictures on it, one which is faded in the background, one that stands out on the front. I think it looks brilliant. Like this pink one. However im not really at this stage yet.
Yes i think arranging photos (when theres more than one) can confuse it all.
This has more than one photo but looks very good.

Barker
It looks ametuerish. That style is commonly used by young female photoshoppers because it's easy to do and looks good to them.

Like Lana said, more than one picture detracts. Otherwise, it's just a collage in sig shape.

ermmnone

soin2cal
Yes most of the time it does.

Hmm are you talking about the top one?

Gannon
You gots potential i thinks.

soin2cal
gots? stick out tongue

Hmm am i getting therestick out tongue?
Did anybody else get better with them after doing many?
I personally like the bigger version in the ones i makebig grin Well i certinaly couldnt blend not long ago LOL

soin2cal

Lana
