For those who don't know, EMP stands for ElectroMagnetic Pulse. An EMP takes out all electronic equipment within its range. It disrupts the electricity input and renders the object broken. In most cases, it permanently destroys an object. This may seem fictional, but the first type of EMP was detected with the first Atomic Bomb tests in Nevada. When the bomb blew, sensors indicated a type of EMP pulse. This has inspired many novelists and anti-terrorism enthusiasts to write whole books and reports about such attacks. If we were attacked by so called EMP Bombs, we would be vulnerable enough to be attacked if such places as NORAD, the CIA and other such radar facilities were hit. Our defences, communications and even possibly GPS systems would be destroyed. Tanks, cars, planes, boats, APCs, would be shut down. Even things such as watches, flashlights, and everything down to hearing aids wouldn't work. What do you think about a hypothetical EMP attack???

Black Dalek
Our fists and guns won't be shut down would it? Besides, our radar will detect them and pwn them with our uber honing missiles.

Darth Brumbo
No the guns won't. And what if it is someone on the inside that starts the chain of EMP bombs and then somehow takes out NORAD. Then the radar couldn't see them bcause they'd already be on the ground.

Bespin Bart
Guns don't have batteries. They'd work just fine.

Darth Brumbo
Thats what I meant, it justs depends on how you read it. Guns would work, but vehicles wouldn't.

Darth Brumbo
Pacemakers, ankle monitors, IV machines that rely on computers to operate them, defibulaters, airplanes and helicopters in mid-air, and in some cases dam floodgates would be affected. Most people, however, have no idea how bad we rely on computers and how bad it would affect us if we lost them.
