yeah but ... I knew he was a "genius scientist", just don't remember seeing anything where his intellect was really so pronounced.
of course, in comics, "geniuses" abound and every other "genius" hero invents this that or the other but, Richards was on a level of galactic/universal significance. The Watcher was impressed with him, he's known as "Mr. Fantastic". Doom, his adversary, is equally well endowed and, if anything, even more of a universally significant mind for his ruthless vision and dedication.
Banner never seemed to reach to such epic proportions, he was like a 'white coat in the background', you know... like those 'technicians' in Star City or something ... they're geniuses, always inventing or discovering something that The Flash or Superman or some other hero really needs, but never so very significant that they affect universal matters.
hmm, I want to see more of Banner... maybe if he could take total control of his emotions and learn to manipulate his infinite powers, he really could be the most powerful one there is, rather than simply have Hulk be "the strongest one there is"...
wonder if some alien might decide to swap Doom's persona with Banner's persona... Banner gains Latveria and the Doom bots and tech, Doom gains The Hulk(s) and that universe of power.
