What are you looking forward to for Pirates 3 and beyond?

Terry Rossio: The thing I will say about 3 is the ending - we have to end the trilogy.

Ted Elliott: You have to find an ending that plays naturally from the beginning of the first film and know that people can walk out of the theater, having experienced a climax.

Terry Rossio: There's a part in it that has about 16 speaking parts to it and it's an incredibly pivotal scene in the story and I'm looking forward to seeing it. It's been a challenge to write and it and we have it.

Ted Elliott: It's really been fun to do different things and trying something new. In Pirates 3, the emphasis is on love, on finality, making final decisions; we're actually doing stuff that's different.

Terry Rossio: When we ended up the shaping of the ending to 2, there was skepticism, but it definitely worked.

Looks like he's getting his sword back! ^^ Happy Dance

Claudia_Black
Thankz!! i love the last one xD

Ericadawn
Yep, that was a deleted scene from Dead Man's Chest.

NORRINGTON (CONT'D)
The heart of Davy Jones.

Beckett approaches the bag. He peers inside. Closes it up.

BECKETT
Remarkable.

NORRINGTON
Then I've won commission as a privateer?

BECKETT
Better.

Beckett takes the presentation case from the shelf behind him, sets it on his desk. Flips it open as he walks toward the balcony doors. There is a COMMOTION from outside, but Beckett seems to have expected it.

Norrington gazes into the case. It holds HIS SWORD. He lifts it out reverently, examines it -- it is symbol of his old life, back in his hands again. UNDER THIS:

BECKETT (CONT'D)
Reinstatement to your former rank and status, all rights and privileges attendant. And I believe a promotion is due, as well. Do you agree, Admiral Norrington?

Norrington is overwhelmed -- and then, with military precision, draws the sword, rests it over his left arm, point aimed at the heart.

NORRINGTON
Give the order, sir.

BECKETT
Oh, no, no, no. No. That would be terribly imprudent. Where is the profit in killing Jones when we can instead add another ship to your fleet?

Norrington looks at himi quizzically.

BECKETT (CONT'D)
The Flying Dutchman.

He opens the doors. Beyond, people on the dock stare at --

THE FLYING DUTCHMAN, moored in port. Jones' crew line the rail. Jones, at the wheel, looks up toward Beckett, incines his head in salute.

BECKETT (CONT'D)
Whoever controls the heart of Davy Jones, controls the sea.

(Ericadawn and SailorLeo hold picket signs outside Disney, demanding James.)
