mortal would have to rely on skill but could prolly get the job done.

I don't know how strong immortal is,

but Herc couldn't handle this same Hulk and,

Wonderman, Sub Mariner and Iron Man were even helping him.


I thought Olympians were always immortal by the way.

samson has lots more 'poor' showings than good ones and is LEAGUES inferior in skill. zeus has stripped herc of his immortality in the past. that removed much of his strength and durability. he still managed a great showing vs savage hulk but lost.

mortal herc would have a very tough time, but skill should get him through it for maybe a slight majority.

the immortal version demolishes them.

Now that you explained the "immortal" issue, I believe he was immortal when Doc had a better showing against the Hulk than,

Herc, Wonderman, Sub Mariner and Iron Man together.

better than all of them? the fight was uterly inconclusive and they were trying to subdue him. wonderman was cracking jokes during the fight, as was hercules. herc did just fine by himself in that book, and even better than fine in the final battle where hulk was defeated.

samson has had his head beat in (and been nearly killed) by hulk multiple times in the past.

immortal hercules has NEVER been defeated by hulk and has done very well against savage numerous times in prolonged battles.

immortal wrecks these guys based on strength and skill.

Zeus stripped Herc's power but really he was usually written like he was still immortal.

more powerful? you mean physically stronger? i doubt it. i doubt anyone is.

but it doesn't matter -- he IS stronger than samson. a lot stronger. and one hell of a lot more skilled.

Samson would at the very least stalemate Immortal Herc like he did a raging Bannerless Hulk?

for a short time. i see samson in ben grim's class. ben could get in some shots, too. but the fight wouldn't be in doubt in either case. the list is remarkably small of characters who have defeated hercules in purely physical battles.

He's lost most of the times, but then again, who hasn't versus the Hulk?

Also, Samson never went all out on the Hulk in his own "rage"

In this incident he did, and stalemated a raging Bannerless Hulk.


Now I'm not saying Samson would have defeated that Hulk, IMO ultimately he would've lost, but still it's impressive.

doc samson is not even in the same league as hercules. hercules have beaten and stalemated herald level characters and above. he have also beaten a death god hades, an elder of the universe the posesser was beaten by hercules not once but twice, and the High Evolutionary. how do you think doc samson will fair against these characters

Only a few beings on earth that can stalemate Immortal hercules: Savage hulk, Thor, Forgotten One, Sersi classic juggernaut.

wow, mm, going to scans for samson!

i like it. don't see you down in THIS league very often -- usually cosmics or bust. and i loved that samson fight and the scene where the avengers break in!

anyhow, samson IS pretty tough. later in the bannerless hulk arc, when the hulk is even STRONGER and whipping most of the avengers, herc STILL stalemates him, though they don't fight 1on1 for very long. like i said, i think grim and samson would be a good match. i give grim the edge there, but only slightly.

herc still wins this particular match every time, but i've not looked at those books for a while. good scans.

Doc Samson has a weak chin though. I heard Luke Cage knocked him out and gave him a bloody lip or something. If Cage can kayo him Herc. will for sure.

In that particular showing? Probably. Thats the HIGHEST he ever got against the Hulk.

He still wouldnt win, tho. Even in the Avengers first round with the Hulk where Herc went solo with the beast for some pages, Samson aknowleged that any of the four Avengers were more powerful than him.

Hercules, still has the best record overall, since he never conclusively lost.

I also dont think he was ahead of Banerless Hulk, but then again Samson sure wasen`t either.

wow it looks like all of you have forgotten the fact that luke cage is a part of this too. while not as strong as herc the combined might of the good doctor and luke cage would be too much for mortal herc

mortal herc is too skillful for Doc and cage and with the mace as well he wins relatively easily
