Here's a respect thread for the character we WOULD have been using in the tourney.

Here we have two explorers heading for the south pole, but they realize something is different. One explorer notes that the entire south pole is shifting.

Here's Dr. Polaris magnetically lifting those same explorers and then blasting them to pieces (also notice how he's talking about absorbing electromagnetic energy).

Here, Superman notices a HUGE magnetic storm in the sky over the south pole thanks to Dr. Polaris.

Notice what Batman is saying here. He's saying that Dr. P is disrupting the south pole, and absorbing it. J'onn noticed significant climactic changes.

Here, Kyle states that Dr. Polaris is in control of Earth's entire electromagnetic field. J'onn also states that their ship is made of ceramics, so Dr. Polaris shouldn't be able to control it.... WRONG!!!

Dr. Polaris was able to control the ship because of trace micro metalloid elements within the ship.

Notice how Batman says that Dr. Polaris "IS" the south pole.

Wonder Woman states that he can shift the entire axis of the earth. J'onn states "with each step he takes, the planet's axis follows." Flash says "That's BIBLICAL level destruction!!!" Superman notes all of the radical atmospheric changes that will happen as a direct result. Wonder Woman later comments that Dr. Polaris has the capabilities of a "planet killer."

Dr. Polaris fries Batman's circuitry in his suit, shocks the hell out of Wonder Woman, blood rips J'onn, and takes control over Kyle's ring making him hit himself with it repeatedly.

Uses tons of metal to smack Superman around.

Flash doesn't have anything on his suit that can be polarized. No problem for Dr. Polaris... he just hones in on the fillings in Wally's teeth and has metal follow him wherever he goes.

Question? Were his abilities altered or augmented by the Joker venom? Or did he lose any mental blocks on his powers? Or did it just make him screwy, but with his normal powers?

Actually, I'll be making a respect thread soon for the character I was going to use too. Sad, but somewhat amusing to see others doing the same.

P.S. You have him fighting and doing well against multiple charter members of the JLA simultaneously, and he was supposed to be under the caps? Meh, he's cool anyway. Respek!

Truth be told, he probably shouldn't have been allowed in the tourney. But then again, neither should've Guardian, Box, Super Skrull, or Dr. Light.

Some interesting feats to note here:

-Dr. Polaris animates a metallic statue of Superman and controls it with ease.
-Uses high frequency infrared radiation to blind Superman.
-States that he can control solar radiation, and can bend it away from Superman turning him into "one of the little people."
-Says that he can feel every bolt, rivet, piece of rebar, dialysis machine, and every brake pedal in Metropolis.
-Absorbs and/or draws away solar radiation from Superman.
-Wills every rivet and cable on the bridge to simply "go away" with a thought.
-Uses spare metal from cars and the bridge to form an armor so he can slug it out with Supes.
-Also, on one of the pages from this comic, it states that Dr. Polaris is one of the most powerful meta humans on the planet.

Was that Superman gettin his aura drained of Solar radiaion?

Perhaps, but it may also be that he redirected yellow sun radiation AWAY from him.

Don't worry, though. Storm can't control solar radiation to make that tactic viable for her.

Storm can easily control the solar winds DIRECTLY from the sun.

Let's see her control solar radiation in Earth's atmosphere.

Not that it matters, considering that tactic is getting more and more useless against Superman.

Some context to the fight between Dr. Polaris and Superman: Lois noted that Clark could've taken him out, but instead he tried to reason with Emmerson.

If anybody else has some scans, it would be much appreciated...

So Polaris could do everything that Repulse did normally? Or was the repulse personality itself a mental block?
