Ok, what 2 characters (using strength alone) can move the Earth. Using Wonder Woman's lasso, they would have to pull the Earth.. No characters over Herald level...

Thor/Beta Ray Bill
Jonn/Superman

Superman/Wonder Woman
Captain Marvel/Jonn
Superman/Captain marvel

no expression Atlas held the heavens (or the heavens and the earth)

Learn your mythology. Besides how can Hulk put the earth on his shoulder while he's still on it?

Remember when the Surfer went toe to toe with the Uni-power Gladiator Alien? That was on strength.

He's ****ed up the abomination (while weakened). He's proven himself to be able to amp to Hulk-levels.

Why not?

Besides, if he ever needed to move a planet, he could always just create a black hole, shifty.

Gladiator was less powerful than normal at the time. It took him 2 minutes (at full speed) to fly from coast to coast.

I thought that was due to the angle he was holding the arch and that he was caught off guard.

I honestly think that Hulk could do it alone, it would take some hours though, till he would get pissed enough to amp his strength..... *pleasedon'thitme* sad

He could, potentially, get strong enough to.

However, since he lacks flight capabilities, he wouldn't be able to go into space to grab the lasso to pull the Earth. erm.

I assumed he would stand on another Planet, a bigger one like Jupiter.

Then he would either pull himself OFF the larger mass, or just use the larger masses gravity to pull the planet...erm.

Also; how would one stand on a gas giant? erm.

UniOmni
Hulk and Surfer could do it.

Surfer manipulates Space and time, thus hardening reality so that it can be walked on.

Hulk grabs the lasso, and pulls the earth.

And he does it in less than 10 minutes.

Under the gas there has to be something, like a core, with more gravity then earth wink, and if He-Man or She-Ra can move Ships the size of the moon without pulling themselves up Hulk should be able too, otherwise all Comics would go down hard on RL physics.

carver9
I dont think that supeman and wonderwoman can move a planet when it took superman, wonderwoman and martian manhunter to move the moon and they were still struggling. Now gladiator (stated by marvel) can move a planet on his own. He has also crushed a planet with his bare hands on his on with 3 punches.

The Hulk punches its as hard as possible, providing it with enough force to over powers its gravitational pull.

It took Superman, Wonderwoman, and J'onn to move the earth, not the moon, it was during the Obsidian Age Arc, when they when back in time, searching fo aquaman.

It was Superman, Green Lantern, and Wonderwoman who moved the moon out of it's orbit into earth's orbit. They also pulled it up back out of Earth's orbit(actually making a u-turn with it, the moon) as it was falling into earth's orbit the whole time, making it alot more heavier than what it is when away from the earth, within it normal orbital position. This was in he Terror Incognita Arc, when they once again fought the white martians.

Superman has moved the moon on his own, he wouldn't need any help moving it some, but the moon falling into the earth and needing to be moved out of earth's orbit at precisely the moment mentioned to prevent earth from being severely damage by the moon falling into its orbit is something that would take great effort and some or a few very powerful, elite physically strong characters. That's is why they were struggling in that Arc, it was a one-time only, very high stakes, rare and awesome feat that only a few, working together could achieve without destroying the planet and life on earth.

no character lower than herald can move the earth..it is simply not within their power to do so

in order to pull the earth, they'd have to overpower the gravitational pull of the sun, which is in the force of gazillions of tons (over 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 tons of force)

none of the characters (barring PIS and inept writers) should be able to exert THAT much force

Galan007
All-Star Superman/Orion

immortal hercules and hulk has the strength to pull the earth and they are below herald level

Jens Gundlach and Stephen Merkowitz from the University of Washington have found that the Earth
weighs in at 5.972 sextillion (5,972,000,000,000,000,000,000) metric tons. This would give new meaning to the term " class 100 " if two Marvel guy's can move the Earth.

Class 100 has always had that meaning. Ability to lift one hundred or more tons. Hence, Thor lifting the Midgard Serpent, and Hulk bracing over a hundred billions tons.

Jupiter is over 1,300 times larger than the earth, there is some actual terrestial land surface, as there is on all the gas giants. However, the outer giant planets are almost entirely made of gas, some of it liquidity but most of it frozen hard, solid like rock. The terrestial earth-like land surface on Jupiter is much larger than the crust surface here on earth because Jupiter is so huge, but it is still made mostly of gas, with the crust-like surface being very minimal, although larger in space than on earth.
