Since DD is supposedly capable of dying then coming back to life and being immune to the method that killed him previous, who could kill DD the same way twice?

Anyone that could kill him in a way he can't come back from.

So matter and reality manipulators.

Not that I'm aware of. Each time superman fought DD, it was a different version. One was affected by feelings and emotion. The other was a weaker doomsday in DOS. And then The last time I remember, It was the combined might of the precrisis superman and the regular one that put DD down.

Someone that has the power to kill him the first time, then time travel back in time, and kill him the same way again.

The Fury would kill him way more than twice a day.

The Fury is almost abstract level in power. And it adapts to opponents actively, instead of reactive. Fury put down MJJ, who could probably finish off DD for good.

someone who can increase the output of whatever power killed DD the first time... someone who can amp.


oh and Surfer might be able to rewrite DD's dna. in fact he should be able to do that, considering he's rewritten dna planet-wide!

First wouldn't work, outside of physical fighting it seems no power works effectively twice.

Wouldn't work, he'd backfire his power and drop Surfer.

Hell, he backfired Waverider's own energy on him when he tried to shut down Doomsday's nervous system, and almost killed him with his own power by ripping his physical form apart.

Reality manipulation, maybe, that's a real tough power to make a case against, but he could possibly evolve past it's basic principal. Such as if the reality manip is magic based, he could evolve past the magic. Lobo even evolved past magic attacks, and he's not on Doomsday's level when it comes to such.

He's already been rewritten millions of times. It's how he got his powers. DNA tampering won't work. it only makes him stronger and more resistant.

Superman can do it. Hits him with the Thorbuster the first time. Second, he comes in with the Hulkbuster.

if the first statement is true then, dare I say Hulk. infinite physical power, he could kill him a twice. the first would be significantly easier than the second time.


why would DD be able to 'backfire' Surfer's dna rewriting?
would DD even be aware that the process was happening?





oh and back on topic, how about magic? magic can be classed as a "method" can't it? the spells may do different things each time, but they'd still be the "same way" .

actually you're right and quite possibly wrong on account of it.

his DNA evolves around the weaknesses exploited. it writes itself, that means it can be written to and that it will run with whatever changes are made.


imagine also, some brilliant geneticist who, realising that DD's dna learns and adapts, decided to force it to adapt counter-strategies and powers that actually inhibit DD overall.

it's basically interacting with the world around it, so somebody should be able to program the dna to do things that disadvantage it.


but all that's just messy, easier to say that Surfer rewrites the dna to neutralise its adaptive quality.

yea, I don't think you can either. Your soul has nothing to do with your genetic code... I don't think you can really rewrite the DNA of your soul.

Soul gem wouldn't work on Fury, it doesn't have a soul. Which brings up the question, does Doomsday have one?

How could he? He's been rewritten and died over and over millions of times for thousands of years. what ever soul he had died when the first baby was killed. He's just clones of clones of clones now.

DD got killed by Radiant thousands of years ago in an energy blast.

DD got killed by Imperiex by an energy blast.

DD didn't evolve past death by energy blasts. He evolved past the level that kills him.

He got killed by the atmosphere of ancient krypton many times, until he built up a complete immunity. He builds up resistance over time, until he builds past it.

A hulk could do it, if severely enraged from jump street.
Anybody with a dynamic power, that's top tier could kill him.

Thanos: He overkill him, and overkill him again. DD doesn't have the power to rivalise with him.
