Well. Apocalypse is almost right. They just flew through the Ultimate Cable thing in Ultimate X-Men.

in the CN little newspaper i got with my comics the other day, i believe hitch said he'd finished drawing the pages in january. then it took a while to get inked, then colored, then whatever. i didn't read the whole thing.

Excellent. It's still the best book around.

Yea Hitch said that it took him 9 weeks to draw the issue, but that the inks and the printing took much longer.

I can't wait for this issue. Art looks great. I'm gonna have to go back and reread the previous issues though to catch up.

I don't know if I should be angry or happy, up until this series I collected everything in trades. I loved this series soo much I couldn't wait for the trades so I bought things in individual issues and not just this series, so you could say this series got me involved in individual issues. Ironically this title hasn't been a regular one, I cannot wait for this issue to come out and for vol 3 to start

At least it hasn't taken as long as Ultimate Wolverine Vs Hulk #3

Although I thought that series sucked

Yeah, Ultimates 2 #12 shipped on 9/27. Still not as bad Ultimate Hulk Vs Wolverine. The original shipping date for #3 was April 2006 and the next issue of All Star Batman is supposed to come out exactly one year after the last issue.

Eh, don't remind me. I guess they're trying to keep Wolverine in two pieces for as long as they could.

And for ASB, his fascination with Dick even before Dick lost his parents is just straight up creepy. The delay only serves to make sure no doubt remains that Bruce needs to be registered and not allowed near playgrounds or circuses

Honestly, at least this 8-page pullout looks a hell of a lot better than the pointless 6 page pullout in All-Star Batman

I mean did we really need to see the entire cave in a 6 page pullout? Hell Jack Kirby could do that entire thing in a two page spread

I don't think Hitch is a better artist than Lee but it would have definitely taken longer.

Well that's cause you have bad taste . Lee wouldn't fit the book IMO.

Joe Mad definetly won't, but it doesn't matter.. it's not like I'll be reading it until about another 5 years anyways.

That doesn't mean he's a worse artist. Hitch wouldn't fit Batman either (his Batman looks awful).

I haven't actually seen his Batman so I don't know, all I kn ow is they both suck for being soooo extremely late anyways.

I think Hitch and Lee are excellent artists but I hate the fact everything they draw takes forever to come out

I was okay with it. I liked the first Ultimates volume better. They messed up this with the schedules and the late releases...But I liked this volume 2 I always had a mystery feeling (not too much though)

I liked the ending

Even though we all knew how it was all going to turn out.

But, i'm kind of pissed off now that we won't get to see Cap hunt down the foreign leaders who ordered the attack

I was sort of wondering why th rest of Asgard takes the appearance of well gods, and Thor takes the appearance of a muscle bound gimp.

It looked cool but Thor's reenforcements had the absolute gayest entrance ever

I know Norse mythology quite well. But charging into battle using a rainbow bridge is still really really really odd for an army of powerful warriors.

Yeah, I was kind of hoping Marvel would ditch the whole rainbow bridge thing in the Ult. Marvel universe

Still though, the ult. asgardians are kick ass!
