Batman: TAS kicked ass

I remember seeing that episode before I read The Dark Knight Returns and when I did read it, that was immediately what I thought of

First season or two. Then they switched to a crappy animation style. The writing was still good, but the animation was shit compared to the earlier parts.

That was from Season 4 which many consider to be the best season. It actually had Nightwing and Tim Drake.

It was better animation-wise because they decided to downgrade the detail to favor a smoother animation style.

Season 4 had the best action.

The new version out called "The Batman" had a dark night returns episode but instead of a female Robin, they had Nightwing

i remeber that episode it was three kids telling stories of what they think the bat is like

I kind of like that newer animation better

I mean, I like the look in the first couple of seasons, but I hate how everything looked like it was from the world's trade fair from the 30's
