WrathfulDwarf
Whether it was a bloody revolution or a ideology revolution. Which of these men had the biggest political revolution in history?

Spidervlad
I would say Lenin or Mao, because they preety much both made a revolution in a bloody way and ideology way.

TRH
Mao.....lenin second

I'd say Lenin. He was the first one to actually put socialism/communism into practice.

Castro has been in power for about 50 years know...

Willem of Orange

His rebellion created the Dutch nation which would later on become a superpower, bankrupted the Habsburgs Empire, twice or maybe even three times. And was one of the most important things in destroying the monopoly of the Catholic faith in Europe.

But then again I might be slightly biased here....

That might mean that he has a good control of his territory, not that he's a powerful revolutionary.

Greed. Lust for power.

Eccentric
I'd have to say Nelson Mandela, if it wasn't for him South Africa would be in a very bad state and he was the strongest leader in his time, that's why he was picked for president. smile

Lord Coal
C'mon, there's only one winner here, and he's not even on your poll: 'Emperor' Napoleon I.

Tangible God
He didn't exact lead or start the Revolution did he?

Strangelove
I wouldn't even call George Washington a revolutionary, in reference to the Revolutionary War. He was just the general. When it comes to the Revolutionary War, I'd say Patrick Henry would come closest to the actual 'revolutionary.'

And as for me, I'd go with either Mao or Mandela.

Now that is a big yes.

Tangible God
Napolean took over after the Reign of Terror, which involved the actual revolutionaries like Robespierre and Danton etc.

DarkC
I'd have to go with Lenin.

pcp
Karl Marx was not a revolutionary, he was a political theorist. Major difference. Lenin and the Bolsheviks were the revolutionaries, under the banner of communism, not Marx.

King Kandy
Mao Zedong. No questions asked.

Colombia a fine example of a Castro trained army? Do you realize that president Alvaro Uribe Velez has greatly intensified military action against the FARC? As far as Hugo Chavez and Evo Morales go, I wouldn't be too sure they will be able to pave a safe socialist path for their countries.

I want people to understand something ............. George Washington was a terrible war general.........he just stuck to politics.

IHateCaesar
My vote goes to either William Wallace or Jon Ziska. William Wallace made fierce warriors out of a fierce colony to face one of the Strongest kingdoms ever with awesome "FREEDOM!", and Jon Ziska because he made measly peasants, great warriors using farming equipment and had one of the best last words "Make drumheads from my skin for the Bohemian cause"
