How close was the world on nuclear armageddon???

Fishy
If you believe some history books and movies, about 15 minutes away....

Tangible God
Pretty close. Jack's finger was pretty close to that button.

Not close at all. It was American propoganda to draw support for the government, maybe.

No one was going to nuke anyone. Everyone had seen what had happened at Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and no one wanted that. No way. Not gonna happen.

IMO, the entire cold war was good, simply because it kept the world (Including America) on it's toes. Without another superpower to contend with, the Yanks think they have the right to do what they like, and basically think they can run the world.

Can't wait till China's a true superpower. That'll be interesting....

As much as I would like to see the US lose some of it's power, I wouldn't really like them losing it to China... China isn't exactly what you would call a nice nation...
