I don't really see how it can be considered milking the property when most of these characters have never seen the silver screen.

And beyond that, a good majority of the Marvel movies are successful, so more power to them.

most of their films suck too. X-men 3, Spiderman 3, The Hulk, Elektra, Ghost Rider, etc. Superman Returns and Batman Begins rocked.

character development, superb acting, minor set backs, dazzling effects, and furthermore, the charm that is Superman. This one was good, the sequel will be flawless. This one had it's setbacks, i'll admit. *cough* where's lois? *cough* but it was a good film

It was boring, made no sense, and the villian was a homage to an already terrible version of a character. It was bad. Rather sit through X-men 3 and their 1 and a half hours of action and no story than over two hours of nothing in Returns.
