It makes sense, while it didn't live up to my expectations it was still alright, besides everyone was waiting to see it.

This isnt suprising at all.

The weekend take is even more impressive... $148,000,000 in North America and $227,000,000 rest of the world. I think the record will stand for a while, unless Pirates 3 or Shrek 3 somehow make a rediculous amount of money.

nah although Shrek 3 might win in the long run i don think the weekend record is gonna be broke.
