Looks a tad fake, but that's most likely the picture itself. Design-wise, I like it. Keeps to the basic idea, doesn't change too much, but doesn't look ridiculous. Favreau's gonna be making a great movie.

That armor is pure ownage. That's really impressive. and is cool as hell. However the photos with the fence not so much...

Its pretty damn good to say the least, has anyone seen downing as Stark in a pic? Aside from being a bit small, looks pure Tony.

I just hope Robert Downey Jr. can move well in that, cool as it looks.
Well, future movies may show more flexible, 'skinlike' versions, like Scoobless was showing above.

I'm not too fond of the caveman brow thing that he has going nowadays but that armor is pretty badass.

I mean that whomever is in the suit, I hope they can move and walk in a flexible, realistic fashion - not turn around stiffly like Robocop.

there is a video of him in motion on that very site actually...his movements are slightly robotic..but nothing major.

No I was just worried they would make him look like a power ranger, usually Marvel messes up with the costumes but with Iron Man they've made him look super cool.

James Rhodes will not become Iron Man or War Machine. Maybe in a future installment.

LOL yeah, muscles protruding through a steel suit would work so well in a realistic take on the concept

Serisouly though, the suit makes me think iron man, It mirrors the orignal red and gold suit to me perfectly, thankfully though someone decided having muscles on the suit was a bad idea

hopefully they learned how to do action scenes from Transformers. Marvel can learn something from that!

try hammering an ultra high-tech suit in front of a kiln for a couple of hours. i don't care who they get as tony stark. the scenario doesn't need for him to look palyboy-ish... even if you put him in a prada suit, making that suit will make any GQ cover boy loose their playboy look.

well its easy to do action when its all CGI with a bloated budget. I think the only thing marvel's movies have going for them are the action sequences. Spiderman2, x-men, the punisher displayed some great believable action

Iron Man on Empire Magazine

just watched Comic Con on g4, Favreau got an amazing response from his special Iron Man teaser trailer, with all practical fx and only one cgi shot, supposedly there was also comedy and it was really hilarious apparently as well. Favreau also said, he didnt want to make this a pop film but he wanted to stay true to the source (no organics no changed origins ). If anyone ever sees the exclusive comic con footage of Iron Man its supposed to showcase Robert Downey Jr as the perfect casting choice.

Well they aren't so much "protruding" as they are formed around the body when the flexible metals are hardened by magnetic forces.

But yeah ... I suppose that level of tech is still slightly out there when going for any kind of realism.
