Am i am the only one who thinks that GL made two trilogy's and not one big saga ??

Theres a big differance between The PT and the OT . The PT is full of CGI effects and lightsiber duels . The orignal shows classic comedy lines by leia and hun solo and the power of the dark side. Yes EP 1 to ep 6 all fit together but for me the PT dont feel like star wars i guess its becouse theres no Dart Vader and luke

Its still a trilogy even after 30th years for me

Well... seeing the story is connected, it could be said it's a bi saga but... it would've been much better of GL made the first three episodes right after the original ones, or it would've been much better as well to see the orginal movie with today's tech.

GL has always said the six Star Wars movies were about one thing---Darth Vader.

Star Wars is a Saga when you see how much the two trilogy's storylines have to do with each other.

But in terms of visuals, acting, plot content, dialog, way of portraying the plot lines, the dates they were produced and released... they're simply two different trilogies.

Well from his point of view it can be. He was right there writing it, directing it over a substantial amount of time. From the creator's perspective, it all fits nicely.

But i like the OT more then the PT

Seems more like 2 trilogies to me. While I can see where it all connects, the feel when watching them are completely different. With the Prequals it is all about the special effects and actions which was used to try to cover the not so great dialog and acting. Yes it was good, but not even close to the acting and dialog of the Originals. With the originals we had great acting, great dialog, great special effects, great fight scenes. So with the lightsaber battles they were not flying off the walls (yoda in the PT), it was still good, intense and well cordinated. In my opinion the original trilogy is a lot better then the original and feels like a whole different trilogy.

2 trilogies, marketed as a saga. I watch them in very different ways and I get two very different responses from them.
