No, Makkari surpassed him I think by using a technique that sacrificed everything he had for speed, Runner said he knew the technique but never used it because it would force him to be constantly accelerating into infinite speed forever.

Also Runner lost a race to a guy who was disoriented and only remembered his name as "Buried Alien" (this was a tribute to Barry Allen from DC, the Flash who died in Crisis on Infinite Earths)

And Buried Alien, does he still exist in the Marvel Universe, and is he even copyrightet by Marvel? Do you have a picture of Buried Alien or something?

Makkari eventually was helped to find a way to return to normal. He can't reach that kind of speed again.

"Buried Alien" appeared in Quasar #17.

No, at normal levels he's only around lightspeed at max

Dunno about that, but at full potential they are capable of reaching 99.9% of speed of light...

Sentry is pretty fast, since he can fly from Earth to the Sun and a few mintues.

Iron Man is fast as well since he kept up with Sentry when he flew the the Sun before.

Someone calculated Surfer's mad dash in I.G at 350,000,000x lightspeed or something.

Hitting warpspeed isn't that hard to do. Lanterns do it pretty much while sleeping....literally.

Plus, he got a boost from Legacy, didn't he?

Well, it didn't say how fast he flew those 500 million lightyears, but I assume it was less than a day, right?

I just don't know if he could do lightspeed on Earth. Anyone in comics seem to be able to do LS in space, but on earth it's a different story.

I might be reading it wrong but those scans only say a half million light years away not 500 million light years.

He's not the fastest, he's a regular lightspeeder like old Barry, but just controls time a bit. Like when he outran the instant transportation thing.

He started reversing time.

Now, the new Flash I can't tell you. I keep hearing he's faster than Wally or whatnot. I don't know.

I believe going at light speed or beyond in Earth's atmosphere would damage the surrounding environment. Which is why characters like Superman and Surfer never exceeded light speed while on Earth.

The race against instant teleportation wasn't even under his own power. I don't remember but he had his speed increased somehow.

Doesn't matter since the city feat was clocked under light speed, and the death feat really holds no weight at all.
