Reading on witch being burn along time ago.I had read that most of the witches who were burn was not witches to begin with.Do you think they were not or were?
It was also interesting for the unfair trails they had put these woman and I think some man through.Any thoughts on this part of history?jm

Anyone who claims to be magic because they are Wiccan is lying or stupid. Im not Wiccan but 2 people I know are. One is a long time family friend. He has been practicing the Wiccan beliefs for lil more then 20 years now. He is no magician... there is a difference. His beliefs are more into there being a mother earth, karma, natural or organic medicine, ect.

As far as witch burning in early American history it was brought on by religious fanatics or in one case three lying girls. One way to tell if a witch was telling the truth was to tie them up and throw them in water with stones tried on them. If they lived they were guilty, if they sank they were telling the truth of not being a witch. Damned if you do and damed if you don't.

Wiccans are just an older belief that the church condemed as devil worship and nothing more. But in history people that had different practices that went against the church were ALL to be of the devil. Even today. It's just not witches or wiccans it's all old religions that the church tried to wipe out. Example was Freyja. She was the goddes of love, beauty...etc. but the church turned her into a witch and her symbol of cats are now associated with the devil also.

Actually someone higher up caught the problem with that and it was banned as a valid test of witchcraft if memory serves.

If a person had scares then it was a sign to the church that at night the scares were because they had turned into werewolves and got scrars from running through the woods, and so to find out the church would cut their limbs off to see if there was hair beneath their skin. Oh course they died. Bled to death.

you pick on everyone here, I don't feel special. Wicca as a religion? fine, to each their own. As far as brewing spells and shit, it's all crap. If someone wants to worship mother earth, i respect that, but I don't buy into the whole mystical energy that someone can wield and claim to be a witch. I am not asking them to prove it to prove it exists, it's fairly obvious the religion exists. I am merely saying that I need to see someone do a wiccan spell before I buy into it. The religion? I acknowledge it is there. The magic part? I need to see it.

The witch burning happened b/c SOME witches at that time were using their power against the king, I forgot which one, but this has happened before, and it's documented in their records, so this is something that most of the high courts know about when dealing with the other "powes that be", as this isn't the first time people skilled in the craft tried to use it on their own king or queen. See, when people work with energy (and witches work with energy), these things can be found out, as the king at the time had his own Merlins/Magicians/wisemen/chancellors/councils in his court to gaurd him outside of the regular security guards to prevent physical enterence or interferences, and yes, they found out and the witch hunts began, before then, they didn't care about religion, people did what they wanted, but when things would go amok, they would start to crack down on things.

There is some documentation online talking about the witches who were accused of using their works against the king (that was the main deal, it was never about the fact they were witches, hence the reason why they were still allowed to do their thing, their king just wanted to send them a message, it's a gross and mean one, no doubt, but wanted to let them know don't use your powers against me or we will find out and burn you up...that was the message).

plenty of documentation that shows that england and the rest of europe was tolerant of pagan faith, jews and moors...but when any of them were accused of using dark forces to conjure up disease, plot against the king (who cares about the neighbors), etc., they were either expelled or hacked to death or burned alive.

People were superstitious then. If a king god sick then a witch must of put a curse on them, if someones field died then the neighbor must of been a witch, if a person had a cat then it was thought to be their Familiars and they were thought to be a witches.
People must realize that to implement the faith of Christianity it had to make all previous beliefs evil and that's how a black cat become a symbol of evil too.

They got who they wanted to get, and the others were just made an example out of, in other words, everyone is responsible for watching out for the witches...because at one time, they were very much trusted for their craft and work,but yeah, power gets to everyones head and things were done to kill the king, he found out and decided to make even the innocent people start to look at their neighbors carefully...if he only killed the witches, then, others would wonder "how did he know" and most probably wouldn't care what their own neighbor was doing...but after they found out, they wanted the entire population to start watching, and how does that happen? unfortunately, but causing innocent people to die until everybody is now on the hunt for witches, it's a strategic plan for that EXACT reason, in order to make ALL WITCHES suffer b/c of the few who weren't loyal to the king. after that point, not only were true witches in danger, but anyone who was suspected of it, and things started to die down, once that happened, there was no need to burn people up for witchcraft b/c by then, everyone was out scouting their neighbor and eyeing them to make sure they weren't a nasty witch, job was done (in the mind of the king). he made ALL witches suffer, when at one time, they were honored for their craft and knowledge, but that's because they used it for good...once that stuff starts to be used for negative and to hurt and change people's life against their will, it was terrible...and once it became the business of the king b/c some witches brought it there, it was taken care of, so to speak. i don't agree with the tactics, but i understand EXACTLY what they were trying to do and why.

witchcraft isn't about superstition, it's a respected craft/technique and usually a person has to born a witch, although, you can learn it too. familairs can be witches, i think the word witch means wise one anyway, or it's wicca that means wise one.

no, the cat was used ever since Egypt. Egypt was under the brotherhood of the serpant/snake. Cats are built to kill snakes. Thus, when the female power wanted to take hold of Egypt (and this depends on if you believe in ancient technology, I think the Eygpts had information on DNA manipulation, in other words, they knew how to "bring things/new animals into life" by playing with DNA. Cats actually oringate from Africa (so do Dogs). Gypies, known for their craft, say their origin is Egyptian. The Irish, also known for their crafts, supposedly have their origins from Egypt. Anyway, when the fem power came into being in Egypt, they used the Cat in order to spiritually and physically empower themselves against the male ego structure/serpant brotherhood. That's why you see the female with the cat head, that's also telling the Sun heirarchy of the serpant that a new power is here and it's a force against the snake. Cats are reportedly telepathic and offer information that is devine (not known to humans), and were used to extract information, conduits for spirits...that's why the cats are known to be associated with the witch. since black was associated with evil back then, if someone wanted to scare the day lights out of someone without even evoking magic, they would just use a black cat and all the associations of fear would take care of itself.

well, there is different levels of power and the idea that most don't use it against a person's will, if they do, that's known as evil or bad. so, there is a division about good versus bad crafts.

people were ignorant back then, so it was easier to control them via fear, so yeah, some of the stuff back then was just cake walk when it came down to "controlling" people...but witches back then had a function in society that was good, it only turned ugly when some witches used their energy and herbs to harm their king.

That's because it's a gift, a spiritual gift from birth. True witches are born witches, they may not even know why they can read thoughts or predict events...and they may not know the method, they just know. The more academic witches who aren't born into that kind of gift are learning the methods from books.

our spirit is inside of our body, but you can't cut open the body to see the spirit. if you think of our world as in many layers of thin papers, we are interfacing with layer b, and think of this layer as this medium of communication we are using now, we don't know the other layers that make this application program work, we just use it... that's how we handle "reality", we don't question it, we just use it. now, true witches know how to work "behind the othe layers" or behind the other deminsions (if that's a more imaginative way of thinking of this stuff, it's very abstract, so, it's hard to use words to describe it)...so, if you think of our spirit or energy in another deminsion or layer that somehow interfaces with the one were are in now, it makes sense why you can't just cut a person and then see their spirit. the person can astral project if they know how, and you can see what spirit or soul is inside of them, and if the soul race matches the body or if the soul is even a human one...

Plenty of people believe in the soul, no matter their profession, from mathematicians to scientists, and plenty of people don't. If someone were to say they have a soul, atheist would say " that person is CRAZY, nut case, someone needs to put that person in an institution b/c there is no such thing as a spirit or soul", but plenty of people around the world would say, our religion confirms what they believe in, plenty of well educated people believe they have a soul, so alot of people would be institutionalized b/c of that believe in spirits or having a soul.

If someone believed in a soul race, what difference does that make to anyone? Plenty of religions actually confirm this, so to the ones who don't believe in a soul or soul race, they would think "that person is CRAZY", and they have that right to think whatever they want.

Now, the motivation as to why I disclosed this (in the past) was and is to help another person out who may be going through the same thing, and for people to be a bit aware that this has happen to me. I made that very clear.

I always considered a racist person someone who would harm another person ONLY FOR THEIR RACE, and I mean physical harm or try to hurt their life ONLY B/C OF THEIR RACE. With that definition in mind, I never considered myself a racist b/c I have NEVER SEEK TO HARM PEOPLE, AND CERTAINLY NOT B/C OF THEIR RACE (NO MATTER THE RACE, even before I found out about this, I would not do something to harm the life of another person, no matter what race they came from, I even believe in wicca practice, but mostly b/c of their "do no harm" creed). also, something about people being evil on here, you have a point. and i am serious. one time, there was a thread about a man who was killing prostitutes and a black poster said "why is it that when whites do things like that they get away with it" and someone responded it was to get rid of prostitutes...guess what happened a day or two later in DC? A 17 year old black teen was killed, how? by a stray bullet, but that's not the entire story, see, shotting is an art, like playing pool, she was shot on purpose, but they could never "find" the shooters and guess what else the news said "this is to teach teens not to go out to clubs when they are under age"...how ironic that someone on this board was dieing to kill someone just to teach a lesson, as he was begging to know why whites get away with killing prostitues and blacks don't get to do that...i don't want to locate the thread, but it's on here, so, yeah, i know of the hypocrites on here, the evil on here, and the strong suggestion for white homosexuals when these black guys aren't gay at all, just know they can use these white men this way, dick them around, as you can tell, it's so easy when they are gay, isn't it? just watch how they use them to attack someone.
