Why do they have to call him an uber-villain?
Putting aside Adam's recent mad rampage, it's plain DC has no balls to have an anti-hero who dishes out martial justice in their universe. They are so whitebread & picket fenced...
Big Sexy
He has his powers back already?
Grimm22
God, i'm sick of Black Adam from a year of him in 52
Just leave the guy alone until the next crisis!
Rick/Genis
Black Atom is cool though!
Deathstroke
You can never have too much Black Adam.
Grimm22
He's cool, but we've been dealing with him every week for a goddamn year!
Can't DC use any other villains?!?
Deathstroke
I was thinking they'd use his mini-series to wrap up his story for a while, but he made an appearance in this weeks Countdown so it looks like he's gonna be around for a while.
I think Darksied is going to be the major villain for the next year though anyway.

Doug Mahnke on art sounds good.

DC's going pretty heavy with the BA huh? Not that I'm complaining. He still isn't near the level of overexposure of some characters.
Didn't he kill millions in WW3, not just thousands?

How could black adam get his powers back already. What happened to CM: And he'll never guess.

He hasn't got them back ermm.
Can people not read? The mini is about him trying to get his power back, I hope he fails.

I still believe it will come out he was mind-controlled or persuaded, into such an over-the-top revenge rampage.

from what ive read he's suppose to unleash his inner evil.

He's like the new version of Deathstroke. The villain DC(see: Geoff Johns) thinks we just can't get enough of.

I've been a fan of Black Adam since the last JSA series, I always felt he was kind of cheesey before that.
Deathstroke I've been a fan of forever. I got the entire solo series, and a lot of Titans material new and old.
Juntai
DC being in somewhat of a ressurection period the last handful of years, it's unstandable why they want to throw fan favorites and recognizable characters into storylines. They hit a gravy-train and need it to keep rolling while they introduce the mass of newer readers to everything else.

The Titans book is where he belongs. Not handing it to the JLA.

Validus
It wasn't the big 7 but Wally, Kyle, Zatanna and Atom make a supremely powerful group regardless.

Zatanna was at least believable, in a sense, Atom was too, but its rare to see Atom fail like that. He's usually so badass. He's a very underated 'should beat almost anyone' kind of guy, when you add up the stuff he's done. He's just got Wally's number at this point, Deathstroke is something like 8 for 8 against him regardless of the seeming power mismatch. Kyle can and did take him down in Deathstrokes own book, when Kyle was a rookie no less.
Grimm22
Hell, Deathstroke really shouldn't be beating anyone in that from Identity Crisis (Except for GA and Black Canary, although I'm willing to accept how he defeated Zattana)
Seriously though, why would cutting off Hawkman's wing's make him fall? His belt still allows him to float
and don't even get me started on the Atom or Kyle

If he's able to connect with it it'd definitely do some damage, but hitting him before getting his face punched off could be a problem.

I don't believe, with Geoff Johns being such a driving force behind Adam at DC, that Adam will just become a standard super villain.
Hal Jordan eventually got cleared for his rampage, too.

Wasn't Adam doing the bidding of his Gods? Maybe they were fueling him up, and influencing him to a large degree.

Now I just need a Deathstroke one.

Gotta say this series is pretty disturbing....BA a Cannibal and Masochist.
I guess the death of Isis really send him over the edge.
King_Mungi
Yeah I picked it up and was quite suprized, especially the part where he eats his follower to survive.
Galan007
I was thoroughly impressed with this issue.
It was borderline disturbing in some parts, but a recommended read for sure.

Could it be the difference between a grown man and a child. Bruce had years to cope and internalize his grief and pain. And while he was a rich man's son I'm sure there were limits imposed upon what he could and couldn't do.
BA is a grown man, one of the most powerful individual's on the planet. For him very few things were truly beyond him and if he felt like rampaging, what would really stand in his way?

Isn't that completely counter productive to your argument? Why would a child be able to handle that any better?

It wasn't really my argument. Someone noted that Batman didn't go on a rampage while Adam did. It was just a possible reason why.
Bruce was a child and was scared and there were limits placed on him. He still required a care-taker and thus had time over the years to deal with his grief.
Black Adam doesn't know fear. The love of his life was killed and he decided someone needed to pay. With his power thought becomes action at a whim.
Bruce didn't really handle it any better, he just had fewer/no choices.
llagrok

I don't think she meant go around killing a whole country.
I can see her scorning him and rejecting him when finding out the extent of what he done and him being heartbroken and not knowing what to do.
Or him killing her in anger.

Bruce didn't really handle it any better, he just had fewer/no choices. Bruce ,however, doesn't kill anyone and only takes villains to justice. and he could have killed Joe Chill I'm sure later on but he never did so. However, Adam killed millions of innocents. Children, Women, Men. THat is alot worse. He could have just killed the people that were behind the Four Horsemen.
