Which one of the movies is your favorite/best? I personally like AWE the best, followed by Curse of the black pearl, and dead man's chest just plain sucked. Please don't vote unless you've seen all three.

I think CotBP is the best by far. It is perfect. I love every single second of that movie.

i just chose AWE coz i was in heaven every second with the shirtless jacks

I choose Dead Man's Chest. At World's end was cool too, but i like DMC better. CotBP didn't seem like it was really connected, but it was great too.

IMHO i think that AWE was better than the 1st two combined!!! SHIRTLESS JACKS!!!!!!!! DOZENS OF THEM!!!

I thought AWE was AWEsome and all...but I found for some reason there just weren't enough sword fights...I don't know why...maybe because DMC had soo many of them...and Im talking about dramatic sword fights ...like with jack and davy on the ship...

still great though!
and another thing I think is funny...the first one was pretty easy and straight forward to udnerstand...and they just keep getting more confusing...If I leaned over to tell my friend soemthing..I was afraid I would miss something so suttle that would confuse me more. lol

That's actually one of the MANY MANY reasons I loved this movie

Yeah I just happened to go to the bathroom at the scene where Beckett meets with Jack and everyone from three different ships are making deals with each other... and then Barbossa starts talking about Calypso. I got back and I was like wtf is going on? lol

and OMG how the hell did DMC get the most votes??? The first one was the best by far....

First one by a mile..it went downhill from there. Second one was ok, and AWE was a disappointment.

I know what you mean...I was confused and had to ask my friends..but they didn't know either adn the few seconds it took my to ask them, more stuf happened! lol! it's a losing battle unless u have the DVD. I just laguh because the first one to me was sooo easy to get when I saw it the first time! lol

The first film was my favorite, I just loved the whole movie and all of the characters. The second one was just kind of bleh, it was disappointing, Jones was cool and all but there wasn't a whole lot else I liked except for the ending sword fight and when Jack came to save them. The third one was better than the second but worse than the first, it returned all of my favorite characters and though it was draggy at some parts for the most part it was good, the only thing I didn't really like was that at the end the only pirates that fought were the ones on Barbossa's ship

Not sure yet.Can't make up my mind.All of them are really great!I guess for now the first one.Since it is the first of the movies!and if we did not have that one we would not have the other movies!jm

I voted COTPB and was surprised at myself. I mean my heart is singing DMC because of Sparrabeth and AWE was a total deliciouse mind game and eye candy because of both the great scenes and SHIRTLESS JACK!!

But the first was so innocent and so original and so GENUINE. It was the first time Johnny ever played Jack and he was a surprise in EVERY scene and the plot was complicated enough (not as complicated as I liked it like in AWE and DMC but still) but yet things were so much simpler back then. Fans weren't devided by ships or preferring one character above the othe so...yeah.

I voted AWE it is just full of action and drama at the end... Love it.

I liked DMC the best. James kicked ass, Beckett was introduced and everyone was so cool!!!

I said DMC because of all the Hott Sparrabethy Moments....Yes My Heart still lies with them

But I really LOVE AWE!!! I DO!!

I have to say At World's End. It was the funniest one and you just can't beat that maelstrom battle. That battle alone would have been worth $6 to see.

The best movie in terms of soundtrack was DMC, although "Hoist the Colours" in AWE still has a lasting effect, that part made me sad, and set the tone for the whole movie. It also stated what the Bretheren court did to Calypso in the first court. The first one was just so innocent, nothing to live up to, nobody expecting Sparrow to be funny. But my favorite has to be AWE. The battles in that movie were astounding, although the battles in DMC were truly amazing. The first battle with the Kraken, then the wheel rolling along with Will and Norrington battling, and then the final battle with the Kraken, it is close, but I still like AWE the best.

Well, I voted for the first one, Curse of the Black Pearl...because Johnny was at his best as Jack Sparrow..and I enjoyed the story of him and Will going after Elizabeth and the Black Pearl..and the ghost story and the curse involving Barbossa and his crew of miscreants......I just felt like it embodied the Pirates of the Caribbean the best.......now, I didn't like the corny "no, he's a Pirate" line....but I was happy cuz Jack was happy...reunited with his crew..Mr. Gibbs, Marty, Mr. Cotton and his Parrot and holding the helm of the Black Pearl "now show me that Horizon" and singing "drink up me hearties yo-ho"


My heart wants to go with DMC because of the great stuff that was in there with Jack and Elizabeth.....i loved the "hide the rum".."you smell funny"...."it points to the thing you want most in this world"......"persuade me"...."I could in fact perform a marriage"..."we are very much alike, you and I" ..."one word, love, curiosity"..."one day you won't be able to resist"...."you're going to discover something, that you're a good man"...."you're going to want to know what it tastes like"...."i do want to know what it tastes like"...."this thing does not work, and it definetly doesn't show what you want most in this world"....."every word, everything you said to me was a lie"...."time and tide, love"....."i've had it with rum-soaked, wobbly legged Pirates"...."
"thank you, jack"...."we're not free yet, love"....."it's after you, not us, this is the only way, don't you see"...."I'm not sorry"...."Pirate".......

My heart screams out for DMC...but alas, it was left broken with AWE....

I did not like AWE at all....even though Jack was shirtless..it's not exactly how i wanted him to be shirtless.....I just felt the whole entire movie was disjointed....lots and lots of action.......if I had not read the jr. novelization...or followed every spoiler and script that came across this board and others...i wouldn't have had a clue as to what was going on in this movie...

So, overall....COTBP was the best one.....but DMC is number one in my heart.....but it was spoiled by AWE....

For me, its a tie between parts 1 and 3. I liked part 2 the least. Part 1 is easiest to follow and the story was good. Part 3 had a lot of amazing scenes with Orlando so its hard to choose.

I liked DMC, because although if it's POTC, i love it, DMC had the best sword fights, the most actions, and was by far the funniest, and then AWE and COTBP are tied in second. ( wanna hear something sort of dumb? My friend hated AWE, so now she hates all POTC stuff because " she knows how it ends"
