Ive been looking forward this title since the end of CW. I wasnt expecting much when I bought it but I gotta say, Its pretty good! I was surprised that 2 of the main characters introduced are former mutants.

that's wind dancer, then? she seems much older, she lost her speech pattern, and she dreams about having wings? strange. interesting seeing a depowered beak, though. when did he get back from exiles?

Gotta say...I'm pretty happy to see a Night Thrasher around. Always liked that goof-ball.

I liked the art, very Mark Brooks-ish

The story seems interesting enough and Beak's return was pretty cool

Very good issue

Beak must have had plastic surgery and a dye job. Last time we saw him he had a huge schnozz and blond hair.

Who is that at the end of the issue? I really liked the issue but I read through it in like a couple of minutes, it felt small, like Grey Gargoyle.

They fail at depicting Sofia. This is almost like the BS liefeld pulled on Jubilee. The depowered beak looked pretty different as well...

It's good to see them back on the screen though.

The wings thing is a metaphor.

strange dream to be having, especially when she was in an apparent fight to the death at the moment wanda re-rewrote reality. they could've done a better job identifying her, especially since she seems very different than when we last saw her.

To answer the earlier question, Beak returned to 616 during the start of Exiles World Tour when they made a stop in the altered 616 House of M reality.

I agree, Sofia does seem a lot different. When she was first introduced she couldn't speak English at all. Though her native tongue being Spanish means there are certain neighborhoods in NYC where she would feel right at home....

Though her father was quite wealthy, he detested her mutancy and I figured he would have been quite happy to find out about her losing her powers. Perhaps they had a falling out, that could explain her current state of affairs.

seems weird that she just transitioned to having her own apartment, a job, speaking with attitude and american-ized speech patterns, and making reference to "the man," just because she's not a mutant anymore.

Whats the info on the new team?

Pretty much whats in issue # 1 is what we know so far.

There's Sofia so far, though who knows what capacity she'll be serving on the team. Barry, formerly known as Beak and someone in a Night Thrasher costume. And we saw the new member Wondra in action.

Kevin Grevioux, the writer, talked about a few of the members on Newsarama awhile ago: http://forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=102799

Some new faces, but it looks like some of them have connections to other characters and I think it looks like the series could be pretty neat.

I'll start buying this book once i get confirmation that Decibel is indeed Chamber. Until then, it hasn't really taken my fancy so far (though we are only one issue in).

it's possible decibel's just another member of the clan akkaba, or is somehow linked to chamber/apocalypse without BEING chamber. the terms "strange connection" and "another character" could be taken several ways.

Possible, yeah. I don't really see why'd they bring in another Clan Akkaba character who looks almost exactly the same as Jono, sports an "X" tattoo (implying past membership) and wears a kilt (Jono's english, but i certainly wouldn't be surprised if they've slapped a scottish kilt on him, simply because Marvel tends to do shit like that). I'm almost fully sure it's Jono.

Still not sure how i feel about him being in this title though.

or having "sonic" powers. i was hoping something would happen where he'd get his face and chest blown up by an outside source and his old powers would "reactivate" thanks to poccy's blood. or something. or just leave him in limbo. or bring him back and forget this clan akkaba stuff ever happened.

Eh, i'm happy he'll be back (for now at least, if he's written like crap i probably won't be). I like the ironic side of a guy who's powers rendered him mute, now has sonic powers, so i don't mind that being his powers too much.

But yeah, i really wish he'd go back to being the good ol' Chamber, i'm not a fan of the new look. He already had one of the best looks in comics, IMO.

My guess, a new one. Seeing the original died in CW #1. Imguessing is someone related to him or since the guy is obviously black then maybe he is related to Black Goliath.

Not sure this fits in...in wolverine origins jubilee was injured by omega red and near death...wolverine let shield capture him if they helped jubilee....shield took her and there might have been a reference as to shield doing somthing to her besides healing her

They didn't go all out and explain it, she punched a wall on the last panel and you could see that she was wearing a gauntlet.

Gaunlets like the black guy wears in Avengers Initiative. NightTrasher is black also +plus gaunlet tech, this new NT might be related to the Avengers guy.
