In the past 5 years DS has fought only with a sword and guns, but before that he never fought without his staff. Ever.

When he recently stalemated the entire Titans in a physical fight he only used a sword when, with his staff, he could have killed them. Is there a reason why his staff is gone? Is it because it was made too powerful?

Well,he's supposed to be like the street-level god,but with the staff he was just too ough.

Meh Deathstroke still pwns without it, unless he is up against the bat family or GA

I've been wondering te exact same thing. I'd like to see it come back.

That was all part of his plan. DS just let GA think he won.

My point is not to discredit Slade. GA had prep and has been trained by Nattas or whatever the bloke who originally trained Deathstroke is called

Will don't forget later when DS says that that was all part of his plan to get into a certain prison.

Yep but he also admits that both of them were prepped up for that fight. Deathstroke wanted to get arrested, but he was also taken aback by GA's prep and new skills which is shown in Slade's thought boxes when he fought GA.

Don't get me wrong I'm not reducing what Slade says as he is a prep master but I'm just saying Slade was taken back that GA relatively minor combatant is now a major player. This is also backed up by the personal vendetta going on between the two characters which concludes in the last issue of GA on sale soon!

Will just got a job as a promoter for Dc....didn't he....

Slade indeed did have prep, and he used it so he'd get caught and not have to kill anyone.

Slade basically underestimated the guy and held back-like he always does-.

Watching him basically have the upper hand in a physical fight with Donna Troy, NightWing, Batgirl, Ravager and a few more all at once was insane. He said "They always make the mistake of trying to fight he up close. I can keep this up all day" Also, "I am Deathstroke, the Terminator. And I do not lose!" thing was awesome.

And, at the end, we find out he was holding back and fought less than he could just so his kids would have a better chance at having a family.

Teen Titans #46

Terminator also got a sword run through his back and out his stomach. He healed in basically minutes and went on to beat the hell out of the TT.
