Brother Eye decides cosmics are far too dangerous to let run loose. It decides after a while that Thanos is a top threat to the universe and sends a group of 10 top tier Omacs to disable him.

How are OMACs going to "adapt" to an eternal with an infinite power source?

Keep in mind eternals have complete control over their molecular structure, and Thanos is easily the most powerful eternal alive.
