Wolverine need to land ONE good shot, while Human Torch can't knock him out...

And Wolverine runs pretty fast, he has outspeeded the Hulk who has outspeeded QUICKSILVER.

And the X-Men Evolution cartoon shows a much weaker Wolveirne than the comic one jump HIGH into the air.

And i doubt wolverine is faster than a huge hulk who can jump major distances

As much as Cap is my boy and I fashion every inch of my existence on his character I cannot give him the W here. He does have a better shot than Logan though.

Stop smoking that alabama tumbleweed my friend its clouding your judgement. The only reason why Cap has a better shot against Johnny is because Cap wouldn't even attemp to fight him straight up. He would try to get the fight near water and sucker Johnny into a trap. Unlike Logan who would just get burned to crisp.

Unless Johnny fights stupid enough for Wolverine to pull the ol' jump-outta-the-way-and-have-Torch-crash-into-the-water-tower-right-behind-him stunt (which Spidey and Daredevil use so well), Wolverine has no chance. Torch will heat him up to where every strand of DNA in his body disintegrates (thus there is no genetic incentive to regenerate), including those in his bones beneath the adamantium (the bones can not be completely cut off from the rest of Wolverine's body; though coated by adamantium, they still need oxygen and raw materials to thrive).

And as for "Wolvie can do what Cap can do"... Wolvie lacks long range attacks, and Cap has his shield which can be used as relatively dangerous projectile.

Wolvie gets roasted. He's stupid enough for that... and he'll be roasted again and again and again. Till Jonny gets bored.

And as for DNA being damaged...3000-4000 degrees on Celsius is more than enough to damage it to the disintegration point...and that includes all the parts of his body.
