I think The Exorcist should be remade. I still love the 1973 horror movie which started Linda Blair. If movie like The Omen, Halloween and Texas Chainsaw Massacre can be remade why not The Exorcist? I did like Exorcist: The Beginning. What are your thoughts? Did you know The Exorcist really ways based on 1950 demonic possession of a young boy? Who would replay Regan? Should a remake take place in the 1970s or 2000s? The Exorcist is my very favorite horror movie. What are you thoughts?

I thought The Exorcist was a dull snoozefest. It didn't even scare me and I laughed at most of the scenes that were supposed to be scary.

I think a remake would fail miserably at capturing the atmosphere the original did. The original came at a time where the subject content of the movie was considered risky.

I hope it doesnt get remade. I hate remakes every one ive seen has sucked its not even funny. It would end up a gore fest instead of scary like the original tried to be

Exorcist the beginning actually surprised me when I saw it...the part where the lil kid gets mauled by the pack of jackals still stays with me, but if they remade the orginal exorcist it would probably suck ppl nowadays have a shorter attention span

I thought the beginning was a great little movie. I think it would have faired better had they not tagged the exorcist title on it. Have you seen the other cut by the other director...dominion? That is so horrible

not only should the Exorcist not be remade......somebody should track down any prints already in circulation of the original and burn them. What a boring movie. The only reason this movie made it into mainstream is the religious blasphemy getting Christians all riled up. If you take out the words she says to the priest and the cross/vag scene.....the movie's just a boring pile of shit that nobody would have ever cared enough about to watch it twice, much less tell someone they watched it the first time.

When I was 13 it didn't really scare me much...neither have the squeals...it's just a girl vomiting and making hot sexy sweet love to a cross in front of some priests

I actually liked the movie. Just the thought of something that terrible happening to such an innocent little girl is pretty sad and scary.

They should NOT remake this. It'd be terrible. Just....don't even bother.
