It's an underrated and very dark 1987 animated fantasy epic from Filmation that is their best since "Starchaser: Legend of Orin" and proves they can do REAL animation rather then the typical Filmation animation of reusing poses and stuff like that.
It stars James Earl Jones, Don Knotts, Tom Bosley, Scott Grimes, and Ed Asner plus Rickie Lee Jones. I remembered seeing it when i was 5 when it came out in theaters after christmas and man did it scare the shit out of me especially when the psycho puppeteer tortures Pinocchio and changes him slowly back into a puppet.
